Review: Charm Bracelets, XOXO

I always thought charm bracelets were gorgeously beautiful. Classy and elegant. It just looks so lovely on a lady's dainty wrist.
I am sure many of you heard of Pandora. Much as it is beautiful, who can deny it? I always thought it was disturbingly expensive. The bracelet itself could cost about a hundred and each charm would cost about half a hundred. *Gasp* It just doesn't make any sense to me to break an arm to buy something to wear on your arm!
Pandora
Can you tell which is the real Pandora? Or how many Pandoras are there in the collage? I have to say there are so many gorgeous charm bracelets out there that can easily pose off as a fake. But hey, at least it is affordable and I still have my arm :P
Thought I would like to share with you The Bubble Charms. Elaine, the owner has kindly customised me one for a review. Pink with cute Eiffel Tower charm, there was no reason not to make my heart squeal with delight!
BC1
The first thing I did when I got it was pretty much take a photo of it to boast to my BF. The plastic was a dead giveaway it was just a charm bracelet. But he thought it was customized rather well, reflecting my somewhat flighty airhead nature and my love for exquisite trinkets!
I wore it a week after and surprise surprise, my friends thought it was a real. They were like checking it out and asking where it was from. Cos it was really gorgeous and best of all affordable. And it can pull off as a Pandora! Boy~~~that made me felt good! It always makes me swell when I found a good deal!
BC 2
It is actually a silver colour, not sure why it looked golden in one of the photos...Anyway, some tips if you are planning to get a charm bracelet.
1. Do get additional 1-2cm so that the bracelet will not be too tight
2. You may not be used to the clasp. I wear it by pressing against a surface (either my body or the table) to put on the bracelet :)
3. One end is an unsecure side. I didn't know and my charms slipped out while I was putting on the bracelet at the lift lobby. You should have seen my face! Horror! But the charms were very sturdy. None of the bling came out :) :) :) I was very pleased with it.
4. The charms can be re-arranged so it is like you can have a new bracelet every other day. Mix and Match. Take 1 out. Add 2 in. The options are endless!
I am not sure about you. But I love charm bracelets. It is a must have in a girl's collection, though it could be a little expensive. So do check out The Bubble Charms, cos I think her price is pretty decent for such quality. Quote "ChaaYen" and you will get 10% off + free normal postage!!! ;)Totally worth it :) And by the way, the collage only had 1 real pandora *winks*

Studdering Gorgeous

I used to like dangling earrings a lot, but somehow as I grew older, I seem to prefer studs more for daily wearing. I don't know why, maybe cos it doesn't get trapped in stuff or maybe like the boys put it - "less distracting" Hahaha.
As you may know, I was sponsored 3 gorgeous studs from Sweet Craft which I happily wore to Taiwan. Hehehe :P The studs ain't really Sweet Craft's core business so I am really really fortunate to get them.
Sweet Craft
My studs didn't survive the mail. The sticks were slightly bent. But, because they were very soft to begin with. I bent them right back and they looked as good as new :)
I like the wide spread of designs. The emoticon was just so cute. And the word studs were just something I would wear. Hehehehe~~~ So what I did was, I actually changed my earrings every 4 days. And for those who were interested, this is how I packed my studs there.
Will Sure Work
Just put it in those little sample containers or old eye shadows containers and you can bring at least 2 pairs of studs. You don't have to worry about it being bent too! I thought I was really smart and started spamming the photos among my friends. :P
Close-Up
Presenting the close-up of the studs on my ears! The emoticon one was the most striking, followed by I love you. Lucky is very focused in the middle so it may lacks the voom.
I love you stud was definitely the most fun to play with. I was studying and was distracted by it. I actually wrote my BF's name initial on my book with the stud positioned on top. :P I blanked it out to protect his identity as usual. I whatsapped him the pic and he was like "Cute, but please continue to study" Haix! He spoilt my fun :(
Me and my studs
Lastly, some of my Taiwan headshots with my ear studs! They are not that obvious cos seriously who takes photos positioning their studs to the camera!!! Haha. But this is how the studs would look if you tuck your hair behind your ears, do a side-flick, or tie a pony tail. Just realised I look so different in all my pics, darn some angles are just so bad. Hehehe~~~
Now that, I am back home, I will slowly flood you people with reviews and update my TW trip (this will be backlogged) Stay tune, and stay happy!

Sorry, this time it is a little. As you may (or may not) now, I was in Taiwan for vacation...Yipee.
I went to stay in a lot of minsu so if I have the time, I shall post them up if there are no work, revision etc, bogging me there (which is unfortunately...highly unlikely). :( :( :(

Convocation Day: Match it up with Karler Pin Badge

Convocation Day
I had mine last year. And this year, I am invited as a guest. I don't remember last year to be as boring. Maybe I was too engrossed with fixing my mortar board and making sure I look my best for my "that one shot"! Haha~~~
Of cos, the grand entrance by the professors in all their different robes is still as impressive as ever. It reminds me of Harry Potter. :)
Karler
Receiving the graduation gifts, I think is really one of the highlights of the convocation. Best is if it could be displayed in photographs. :P But for guys, it is really hard to shop for them a gift. Reason being I am afraid giving them flowers or teddies may undermine their masculinity.
And so I sourced high and low and came across another rather interesting gift - apart the pot of flowers from Florasia. And they are these really adorable pin badges from Karler. It is really dainty and I really like the attention to detail they put to the mortar board. I received some scrapbooking materials from Karen too but I have yet to try them out. Will review on them when I have an occasion to scrapbook about :)
Convo
I only pinned it on BF after his convocation before he loitered off to cam-whore with his buddies. I think he was rather pleasantly surprised because it was something different to begin with and it was rather easy for me to bring (and hide) to surprise him.
I like the fact that the pins came in 5 different colours, meaning you could match your hood colour:
Blue: Science School in NTU
Green: Sport Science Management of NTU
Purple: Nil (If you really like purple)
Yellow: Engineering School in NTU
Orange: ADM of NTU, NBS of NTU
** Would be nice if had red though :( That would have really completed the spectrum.
Selfies
Some photos I took while waiting for the BF. Think my dress is gorgeous? I have another review on it coming up really soon :) Stay tune yea? I do look not as good as I used to. Had stomach flu the days before and I thought I was going to die.
Worse time of my life cos I really needed to recover to attend the convocation and fly to Taiwan. Thank god I managed to crawl there eventually.
The Gift
For those who are interested, this is what I got him. I placed a message inside the custom-made pencil box. And hahaha~~We had a pre-photoshoot before the actual convocation with him holding Florasia potted plants.
It was that day which I thought I was feeling stronger and the next thing I knew, I relapsed. It was a really heart-wrenching moment when you know you might not be able to go overseas or anywhere. :(
KarlerA
This post was supposed to be up on the convocation day itself, but I was so busy with my itinerary I didn't manage to post it up in time. I hope your loved one convocation wasn't this year cos you might have just missed a nice gift for them.
But fear not, if you really do want to buy something from Karler, cos they hold other accessories as well. My personal favourites are the glass globe necklace, buttons earrings (with dangling birds) and the ceramic charms. All which I feel are not so commonly found in the market.
Share my taste in gifts or my eye in fashion, do drop Karler a visit. Karen is a really nice lady. XOXO, till next time!
