Tote Bag with Pins Project

With the coronavirus raging, I am truely barely in the mood for anything. Events are on stand-still and I am pretty much at home avoiding the crowd half the time. Boring. Bleh. And it doesn't help I have a sick stomach. Even more excuse for the loved ones to make me stay at home sobs.

Fortunately, I still can do some home reviews lol to keep me entertained. After seeing my friend with some cool pins and badges on her bag, I have to say that obsession of mine creating something like that is real! Oops.

I caught some pretty cute and reasonably-priced enamel pins at Okiecopins. Most places sell them for $12 a piece and erms I am definitely paying that sort of price because a bag probably needs 10-20 pieces and that is going to cost me a bomb. At Okiecopins, you can find pieces lesser than $10 so I am totally sold.

The yellow "Hello Badge" I named it "Get a Friend". It is quite a decent first day of school accessory especially for those who are shy. If you can't say hello to you, at least wear something that makes someone say hello to you. I think it is quite a cute piece for customer service staff too. Looking fashionably amiable...hehe

This is my favourite piece in the whole collection because I didn't really see hot air balloon at first. I saw a puffer fish. The cresent moon was the eye and the hot air balloon was the fish. Just in case you wonder, the default position of my pins are on my tote bag. But when I am wearing something plain, I will pluck one off my bag. :P

This puffer fish is really my favourite because it has so many colours. It means that it can pair with everything and at the same time it is so colourful, your eye just catch it when you glance me over. So far it has been spending more time off the tote but I think that ain't too bad.

Even with my third floral pin, I have to say my bag still look pretty sparse with 3 pins only. I have to say this is a long term project and I will probably be spending a good deal of time and money hunting cheap and pretty enamel pins down. When I am done with my bag, maybe I will start on a demin jacket. Haha ambitious.

Meanwhile, I just can't wait for the epidemic to die down. I am just so sick and tired watching reports on it. There is really more to life than virus and you know what all our lives need to move on. Pfft!

Food Tour 17: Favourites

The foodie in me strikes again. Either it is more stress or more me-time, all this pretty much translates to more time to eat out! But today, I thought it would be interesting to share a bit more about my usual hang-outs. You see more of me there simply because it is nearer to my house and hehe...it is just more convenient.

Shh...this is my go-to place to curb my western food. This place serves restaurant standard at a super affordable price. It is always packed so we always ta-bao. My favourite so far have been the bangers and mash. The pasta is amazing too and so is their fish and chipss. Usually, I end up spending quite a bit while I am there cos the the food is so good and the price is so reasonable. If you hop around the west, don't give this a miss.

This is my favourite bubble tea chain thus far. Ever since I tasted their Cassia Black Tea with Mousse, I have been a fan. The funny thing is that I can never pronounce the Chinese name properly and I have ordered wrongly a few times. The staff is always kind enough to change the order for me. Chi Cha San Chen have quite a few outlets by now.

But I am so glad they opened a store in the West. First of all, it is now closer to home. Secondly, hehe, the Westies doesn't seem to know how good it is yet so the queue is comparitively shorter than the other outlets. And I love how they freshly brew each and every cup right before your very eyes. Considering I am paying about the same price as other bubble tea, I do feel that I got a better value!

So the Hubs heard fabulous review about the NY Night Market and told me to try it out. I think he actually meant try it with him. But me being me, didn't. I went with another friend and boy was the meal good. If you are into savory goodness and is alright with fusion food, this will tickle your tastebud. Even their drink selection was discount. Plus, it was on shopback Go so must discounts!

We ended our meal at my favourite dessert place - Lady M. No other place beats their cakes and tea. And with its fancy interior, it makes me understand why the British love their tea-time. :P Coincidentally, all these places are in the West again! Once the virus clears, I am sure we will see more food reviews from other areas. :P

Welcome the Rat Year!

It has been a long while since I did an LOTD post, mostly because the weather was wet and dreary. On the rare ocassion I did, dang people told me I put on weight which is really quite shitty. Yes, my face is rounder and I may be suffering from some bloating. But guys, I spent $70 on my cat dress, why is everyone not commenting on how cute it is. And I am wearing cat earrings too!!!

Honestly, I think I still look awesome. Ba-Ba not good meh, it means fortune you know. On a happier note, I got quite a bit of ang pao this year and I shook the hand of a billionaire. Woo. Yup not million but billion. Feeling quite dope because I feel like this lifetime, I have met the powerful and rich. Although I didn't make it, I feel like I made it too! Woohoo! #LoserLife

Hopefully this rat year will bring me more wealth! I mean a handshake doesn't really change life does it?

Funky Find: Insta Fun

Lately, Instagram has all this filters which has a random screen function which lets you see what sort of pokemon you are, princess you are etc. I have to admit it is quite fun to play on yourself. But you know what is even better, hijacking other people's "face" to film them is pure hilarious. Too bad, I can't really post their videos here. You will just have to check out my boring ones...Bleh!

Ending off with my "freaky" doll-face, as how the Hubs put it. :P
