Surprise Haul: Femme Luxe

Yes!!! First clothes review after the longest time. I have been feeling a lot more energetic and has been eager to review some fashion. So this came at a pretty apt time because I am looking for new clothes. I am however into slightly baggier clothes lately, so please don't be too shock if you see less curves. And yes, I am still trying to figure out what is a good size for myself for my new look.

My great haul came from Femme Luxe. They have a great variety of clothes for curvier women, which is great cos I am moving in that direction. I was initially sceptical about the quality but when I ripped open my package I am totally sold! I totally can't wait to show them all to you.

This piece really caught my eye because of its unique colour. And I liked it had a flap at the side to show some legs. I think I might have been a little too ambitious in the sizing. I wanted it to look oversized so I picked a size bigger but the sleeves are way too long for me. But as a winter wear it would be alright because you would need to pile on layers of clothes inside. If I am wearing it as a lounge wear, I would probably pair a shorts with it, otherwise I think tights would look really good with it. Quite keen to try another piece in another colour at a smaller size.

This is one of my favourite piece in the collection. Generally, I don't look that good in cuffed clothes cos it makes me rounder than I am. But I really wanted a pair of joggers. I bought one previously but the size was so wrong, it became my hub's piece. And he always looked so comfy in them when we are overseas/ in our bedroom (when the aircon is on). I guess I want a couple piece. So I snagged the pink one. I was surprised that the cuff at the legs doesn't even feel restrictive at all. I am really digging this piece and I think I might even wear it when I go to the gym when it reopens!

This was my absolute favourite in the collection. I didn't expect it to turn out so well because it is my first glittery piece. Also, it was tight fitting and wrap the curves snuggly. And you know sometimes the wrong parts get accentuated. I initally intended for this fancy piece for my friend's wedding. Now that the wedding is postponed, I don't have any grand celebration worthy of this dress. A bit bummed that I have no occassion to wear this for now, but I am also relieve I now have a nice piece that can accomodate my curvier body.

Generally, I avoid pieces that might have a wardrobe malfunction. But I caved in to this piece because it had a cute, retro vibe, so in it went into my cart. I don't thnk I will be wearing as a dress but I will definitely be using this as a top and pair it with either a pair of shorts or tights. The sexy little gap in the chest area is still quite worrying for me so I think I will be wearing a tube inside. #Safetyfirst. I am pretty satisfied with this round's haul. And it is time for more fashion LOTD...woots woots woots.

Yu Yu Trinket: Chasing away indoor blues

I am so excited because I finally got the energy to do a review from Yu Yu Trinket, so does it mean I am slowly but surely recovering? Hmm...but what's important is that I have found some time for myself amidst the numerous pills popping (prescribed by doc, pls don't think otherwise).

This is a really sweet piece and hehe for the first time ever, I actually took photos of myself in a tacky nightgown. Honestly, I would have never imagine any piece in the world that can go well with this, but the strawberries did. I think my skin shade might have grown paler with the quarantine so light pink doesn't go well with my shade anymore.

It is a bit sad but it seems the strawberries are quite camouflaged. If you are a huge fan of acyrlics or themed earrings, you might want a piece of this in your collection. I don't think lolita is my thing, but if it is yours you might enjoy this piece a lot more than me!

My first look at this piece was like, erms this is not my style. But when I wore it on, I have to say it looks good on me. Green has always been my colour. The Hub always call me a frog on a lilypad. But I don't know why I have a thing against this colour.

Design-wise, this is a classic piece, putting in together the tweed and tassel elements. FYI, the fabric is actually vines but from far it looks a lot like tweed. Now that we are all missing nature and a bit of the outdoors, I think this piece might just strike a chord with everyone. If you are into collections, this set comes with necklaces but it is out of stock at the moments.

There are certain designs that I am usually not much a fan of. And tesselations are one of them. This is a surprising piece for me cos I actually like the design. I think the size is ok for me because it is made of fabric so it is still quite light on the ears. Although blue is really my favourite colours, I would suggest going for lighter shades if you have darker hair colours.

It is another case of blending in....hehe, yes I am a lady who likes to give my earrings the limelight. Personally, I also love the necklaces which is of similar hexagon tesselations. It is baffling but this is the only tessalation accessory that I have fallen for thus far. My recommended piece from Yu Yu Trinket cos other places either don't sell it or their designs ain't as alluring...hehe.

Food Tour 18: Precious Day Outs

You  must be wondering why is there a fall in the number of posts. Well, no thanks to the coronavirus, my family has grown to be very particular about my fun time outside. Also, sadly, my health hasn't been that good so I am perpectually on bed rest if I am ain't up doing my daily runs.

We are also going through some major life changes and hence I thought the next post would be on the big announcements. Guess I can't keep this space too empty for too long, so I thought I will share with you some of the yummy food I have eaten thus far. (Note: I don't eat out that much as often now!)

I definitely featured this place before. Hehe, the food is really good but this is my second time there. The last time we were there I have to say the food was good but the service was poor cos it was too under-staff. Am back again this time round cos I had a craving for their food. Their services improved by quite a bit too! Guess I will be back again more often.

Am definitely treasuring my exploring photos a bit more than usual. Now that I am unwell I don't usually walk out as much. So on days like this when I am feeling a lot stronger than usual, we explored the black and while buildings around Buona Vista area. Am really starting to miss my strolls with the Hubs.

Maybe the Hub had felt a premonition that my diet won't be as easy in the near future, I was even fed and rewarded with chocolate drink and ice-cream while my appetite was good. Sometimes we truly take things for granted until we lose them. *Yes, I am feeling very emo as I am penning this. That's how poorly my health has been. I now have food restrictions and am so easily exhausted. I really can't wait to get well soon.*

An afternote here, actually chocolate is kind of a staple in my diet because I still love my desserts and my mood is a lot worse without my sweets. Surprise surprise, I still have my daily dose of chocolate but I am trying to cut down *fingers crossed*

This was taken on my last day out with my friends. It has been ages since anyone organised any meeting given this climate. On a happier note, this was the first time I have been to Shake Shack and I finally know why the queue is always so insanely long. This is because the food is so good, I love everything we tried in the menu. Even the sick me felt less so after the meal.

Because nobody would let me go home without a proper hang out, the exhausted me had to drag myself to The Mind Cafe and realise that the bunch of us actually don't know how to play most of the games. So, I pretty much pigged out there at their free snacks and free flow of drinks (which is too sweet by the way) and played only 3 games lol to the best of my ability. I guess I had fun from my happy smile in the photos!

Hopefully covid-19 will soon die down and I will be able to go out and play soon. Otherwise, I think the future posts will get more and more emo. :'(
