Review: Tell Time with Time Empire

Lately, looking at the time has been a really lovely thing to do. I have never done any review on watches to date. So for you girls out there who are wondering when will I share with you a nice place to shop for your watches...Today is the moment you have been waiting for :)
Courtesy of Time Empire, I was sponsored 2 really nice watches! One was the paddle pop (transparent strap) watch while the other was the world map (synthetic leather strap) watch.
Time Empire
You will be pleased to know that Time Empire has a good selection of fashion watches at very affordable prices. Each watch is around $20++ and is not more than S$30. There are different straps selection from transparent plastic strap, synthetic leather strap, stainless steel and even friendship band straps.
For now, you can't mix and match your desired straps but I am sure in future you will get a chance to do so. :) Generally, I treat my watches as accessories, so I would stack them up with something chunky, either with my Charm Bracelet or my magnetic hematite bracelet. But honestly, it looks good just by itself too.

Time Empire was perviously known as GLH Closet, which may be a more familiar name to some of you. Time Empire is founded by Gary Tan and Zhu Li Hui, with a simple goal of making customers happy through shopping. This dedicated pair believes in running their business with sincerity, hard work and good faith and this is proven by many good reviews they receive, which I can vouch for.
I was actually sent the wrong watch for review. They did offer to change it. But I thought it was ok cos the world map watch looks pretty classy as well. So I gave their kind offer a pass.

Collection

Some of the watches are pre-orders. So, to know what is instock, you could go to their instagram @timeempire or just check #timeempireinstocks. I have summed up above some of my personal favourites.

If you are a working executive and would want to go for a more polished look, I would suggest their Geneva watch or Marc Jacob selection. For something more causal, you can try the flora or friendship band watches. The plastic watches are very suitable for school children. But after wearing it for a few days, I find them a pretty chic fashion accessory. Functional as well, since it tells time.

Study in Style: Sew Shiny

Hey peeps,
sorry for the lack of updates. As mentioned in many of my earlier posts, I was having the exam fever. :(
So the last few weeks (or was it days, I totally lost count of time), I was intensively mugging or at least trying to do so. Terrible days. But I am glad it is over. However, I am so behind in terms of reviews. So I will be compensating you guys by being a little more active for the next week :P
SewShiny
During my study period, I was using my new laptop bag customised from Sew Shiny to lug about all my study materials and my laptop. It is actually supposed to be a laptop bag but after fitting my 13" Mac book, I still had a good amount of decent space left.
And so, I did put some other stuff in it...Hehe. I won't say it is a lot of other stuff. But it is not little either.
Sew Stationary
Apart from the flora headband, (that is to make it look pretty!) everything else could be fit into the little laptop bag. If you did notice, all my stationary are pretty much mono black and white, so at least the carrier came with a pop of colour, otherwise I might be condemned for being one dull girl. :(
For those who are interested into customized sewn products, I would really recommend Sew Shiny. My laptop case came with soft padded support at the side and it was very well sewn. There was no loose threads etc and the zip was fully functional. Impressed? Definitely!

Apart from laptop bags/ sleeves, they also offer a variety of products ranging from clutches, pouches, tissues holder and phone covers. The variety are really endless because customers can really design and come out with the design they want and Sew Shiny will literally make your dreams come true.
She sent me some of her old designs and I also looked through some of her products, consolidating my favorite few. The top 3 are the designs I like best. The laptop sleeve with the 3 squares are very chic and professional looking. I just love the design of the clutch - how you can slip your hand into the bow. And lastly the cute puppy camera case- ahhh, there is no way anyone a resist a cute puppy!

There is also a selection of fabric you can choose from - the top for bigger items such as Tote Bags/ Laptop Sleeves and the bottom for smaller items like handphone covers and pouches. The beauty of customised products is that you will always end up with something you like and reflects you :)

Thought I would also highlight the details of the fabric. From far, my bag may look like red polkadots with a white pocket. In fact it is an intricate white flora pocket. Gorgeous, isn't it? This little touch just made the whole laptop bag looks so much more demure and sweet.
Sew PrettyLastly, some photos to show how you may look "Sew Pretty" with Sew Shiny. I did an informal look wearing our national attire - slippers, singlet and shorts along with a Love in Paris necklace from GlitteryBlitz. My formal attire consists of a striking purple dress with black/white block heels and my magnetic hematite bracelet.
So do drop them a visit if you are looking for something for yourself or your loved ones (Christmas is coming!) and thank you all for your patience and encouragement all this while throughout my grueling exam :) XOXO

(Best) Mood Rings

What gets a woman into the best mood?
Shopping of cos... :P :P :P
Best Mood RingAnd today is your lucky day cos I am going to present you people a steal...1 yet many. Presenting the accessory chameleon, the mood accessories! As it changes colour with your mood (surrounding temperature), you can have a different accessory at different timing of the day. How cool is that!
The accessories from Best Mood Rings is bound to get you(r) lady into the Best Mood. Courtesy of Sally, I got to review a few from their collection. You will be glad to know that delivery was prompt and the packaging was splendid. Each ring or accessory was packed in a tiny gift bag and neatly wrapped in a sheer paper with hearts. Everything came nicely and even after wearing my rings while cleaning my hands, the rings did not rust! It is definitely of fine quality.
Mood Rings GaloresAs Sally had wrapped each of the pieces up, I had absolutely no idea what I was receiving. I had a jolly good time unwrapping and savored the moment of suspense. Guess I was feeling romantic that day cos everything turned dark blue in my hands. Most of the pieces I received were blue. Yup, I love royal blue, apart for the greenish ring.
Some of my favourite pieces were the dual butterflies, the stones antique necklace (which reminded me of Titantic), the magnetic hematite bracelet (truly, indeed it is magnetic, can't help but pair it with my pink watch and it comes with health benefits too), the child unicorn mood ring glitter (which I am so ready to give it as a gift to my first born) as well as the classy, beautiful square mood ring (which I have lovingly named it the hope diamond)!
Apart from these pieces, there are many other pieces ranging from simple to elaborate. I personally really adored the child section. They have lots of cute selection. For the quirky, there is also the Glow-in-the-Dark! It is somehow very unfortunate that my little penguin refuse to glow. :(
Change
And I made a fascinating observation - at every angle, the ring appears to be of different colour. I spent a great deal of time, taking snaps of the ring once it changes colour haha.
For those who are curious about the meaning of the colours:
Black - Stressed
Brown - Nervous
Orange - Unsettled
Green - Active
Aquamarine - Relaxed
Turquoise - Lovable
Dark Blue - Romantic
Pink - Happy

Best Mood Ring1

And the mood ring came with a guide (which I have failed to follow) *Sheepish*

1. Keep it dry. Moods are particularly sensitive to chemical and water. Prevents tarnishing too!
2. Magnetic jewelry should be stored away from things with magnetic properties!
3. Be careful not to drop the magnetic jewelry and agate. Chipped jewelry never look good!
4. Glow in the Dark ring has to be briefly charged by either daylight or artificial light (maybe that is why mine aint lighting up!)
Anyway, for those who are keen to get yourself a mood ring, please do check out Best Mood Rings. The variety is just so huge. You are bound to find the "one" there. Most places only hold a ring or 2. But this site holds a zillion or million LOL! And for the quality, I think the price is overly reasonable. So hurry there now, before others hear of this and rush there too! Surely you don't want your "one" to be taken :P

And it Glow

**Quick updates** Sally sent me another 2 of the Glow in the Dark Rings. After charging it under my iphone spotlight, it glowed...*shrieks excitedly*
