Couple Shots at Bedok

We are now traveling further and wider. Hope you guys haven't been wondering why there is a "lack" of quick content. That is because we are now doing more shoots. And I guess shoots take a little more time, especially if we want to show you guys something good.

For people who live in the East, you will be happy to know, this was taken in Bedok. Honestly, I am not familiar with the area. I wanted to go for a school theme. So we actually took some shots in a school, but some didn't turn out that well. Oh wells...Maybe, I should have just taken those shots in my own school...goodness.

By now, we have learnt that photography comes with hit and misses. The more the number of people, the harder it is to take a good shot. Sometimes the BF look crap, other times I look shit. But with practice, we have gotten pretty good hit rates. :P

By far, this is one of our grassiest shots (aka we laid down on quite a lot of grass spots) and my shortest skirt shot to date. Heng I wore shorts underneath. Hehe. One of the more interesting photo we managed to snap was this at Bedok Reservoir. I really like the grass-beside-water feel shots. But FYI, I got a bit of grass rash after. #SacrificeForArt

And check out some of my favourite shots this weekend. We played with a bit of shadow, symmetry and I love the head-grass shots. Our photographer is not much a traveller. So if you live in the East and is looking for some fast shots, do contact him here.

Kitten Cropped Sweatshirt is from Style Orphic <Quote "ForFunk" and you will get an additional 10% off their items> and makeup using Girl Power from SukkixLASplash (Read my review on their lippies here!) Hope you enjoy the post, there are more varied posts coming out soon!

LOTD: Burning Passion for Fashion

Feeling really happy about the longer CNY because this means there is a bit more time to take some LOTD (I know it has been so long since I last took one.) I happened to chance up on Playdress and I am so in love with their style.

The quality is good and the price is super reasonable. Plus they have many outlets around Singapore, which means you get to try it before you buy! Awesome max! I bought 2 dresses of similar design. Wanted to buy all, but that's really over-doing it, isn't it.. Hehe.

Navy Gold Look
Navy Blue Dress: Playdress (By the way it is a v-cut at the back but it can still cover the bra strap)
Pineapple Earrings: Rouge Jewelry
Golden Necklace: Got it as free gift from another purchase on Carousell.
Bandage Shoes: River Island

Special mention to my new leather bag cos I think it is so frigging stylish but at the same time very affordable for a quilted lambskin. Would really recommend this store, there are a lot more stylish designs (which are designer inspired) available. They have belts and wallets as well. But I personally prefer all their bags design as it is more timeless. :P

Retro Lilypad Look
Green Lotus Dress: Playdress (Exact same cutting haha but the fabric is more textured and I love how this match with my Pringle Chips)
Shades: Stole it from the Bro
Lipstick: Coral Kiss Matte from The Body Shop
Earrings: Shinine Designs
Pink Flats: Crocs (Many people told me to thrash it when I post the look. Why does everyone hates it?!? It is an awesome walking shoe!)

In case you are wondering why I named this a lilypad, I am currently quite obsess with a froggy game. Shall do a post on it this weekend to jio some of you to play it. It is frigging cute and doesn't take too much of your time. :P

I will be trying to squeeze in a few more looks posts since it seems that most of you love it when I deviate from safe looks. Ending the posts by wishing all a prosperous CNY!~! <3

Casual Pre-wedding shoot with Ce Wen Photography

Pretty stoked to share with you these photos cos they turn out to be a lot better. Remember the last time I dished out some wedding photo tips in my previous post, guess what we did another "practice session", but on casual shoots this time. And I think it done out great great, better in fact.

By now, we already "know" what to do. The photographer was a lot less in a hurry and put in a lot of effort in finding the perfect lighting and sharing with us some tips here and there. Sometimes it is just trial and error, but you need time to keep trying. So I realise the importance of having a patient photographer.

This time round, we had a lot more intimate shots. (Kiss until damn sian...haha...I think never kissed so much during our time together.) And cos we had great afternoon harsh sunlight, we had some flare shots which I absolutely love and adore. So pretty!!!

I also got to try out more posts to torture the BF....Muhahaha. he carried me a bit this time round. And by the end, I was tired. (o.O) Don't ask me why, but I am tired being carried around like a potato sack. Oh yea one more tip, do remember to get those behind the scene shots. I just realise these shoots look great. (There is one which show us giving our mai-siao face to each other. Haha, but I will save that for our memories.

Hope you enjoy the photos you lovebirds. And if you are considering a shoot this V-Day, you might want to use our photographer - Ce Wen. He is quite dope! I did my make-up myself this time using Burlesque Babe from SukkixLASplash (Read my review on their lippies here!) It is pretty long-lasting but imprints on BF when kissed HAHAHA.

My dress is not new. I have worn it a few times already and it is from Missa More. You can read more here about me raving about my "peacock dress". Because Missa More is still relatively unknown, their clothes are still very very affordable for the quality. (I know cos I shop there hehe!)

SukkixLASplash Lipsticks Collection Review

I am not sure if any of you are familiar with glamour girl Sukki Singapora. But I have been following her for a while now so I was super thrilled when I got to try out her a 6-colour lippie collection she recently launched with LaSplash.

Just to share a little more about Sukki, she is Singapore’s very first Burlesque artist. And before all you pervertic male readers link in to kinky striptease, Burlesque is more of a form of art that explores and empowers female's sexuality. And most of the audience are usually female. (Surprise, Surprise!)

I was really happy when I received 5 of her lippies. I didn't get the gold one which was a bummer cos it was one of the more flamboyant colours which I was excited to try for the new year. And I had 2 repeated colours (which one I gave away!)

True to her Burlesque nature, the design of the lippie are intricate and detailed-orientated. Very eye-catching. The colours bold and flirty, which is a good change to the nude shades of lippies and glosses I have. And Sukki was so sweet, not only did she signed off each of the unique lotus-designed cover, she even wrote a note <3

So here's a curated swatch of the different colours.

Matte
  1. Sukki (Top Left): This seems like a very office-friendly colour which is chic and powerful at the same time. But for me, bold red is still a striking colour (scares me a bit) but I do acknowledge how great they look on Asian skintone. (Note: I don't have this shade.)
  2. Girl Power (Top Middle): This is a very vampy and mysterious shade. I like that it is purpurish yet not there sort of feel. There is something that makes you wanna go Kiss Me Edward about this shade. Haha
  3. Chio Chic (Top Right): This is my shade now. It is a lot brighter than it seems and my Mum thinks this brighten me up naturally. If you wanna twin with me this is your go-to I guess. Hehe
Shimmer
  1. Burlesque Babe (Bottom Left): My Mum took this cos she said this is something she doesn't have (wanna look young probably) yet not too provocative for work.
  2. Cupcake Dream (Bottom Middle): Honestly, I am clueless how to pull this off day to day without looking like a Barbie. Haha. This is for giveaway. Ting Ting Ting!
  3. Desi Queen (Bottom Left): The one which I missed. It is not every day you have golden lips right. Should I get it, should I get it?!?

Here's a picture of me in Chio Chic and transformed into a pouty little Diva. Hehe. The lippies were so thick and smooth. One layer and you are good to go. 2 layers for safety precautions Haha. And they smell so good (cake scents), I would have kissed myself to taste them if I could. The applicator was small and easy to use too. :)

Although X'mas is long over, you can still pamper yourself. It is discounted at US$10.80 and comes with free shipping if you get all 6! To purchase the online, visit LASplash. And for those who are hoping to win some pampering goodness to start off the new year, may the 4s be with you. Hehe.
