Edge - Best Buffet in Town

Back at Edge again for their "sea of flavours" cos I just can't get enough of them. This is one buffet place that I keep getting cravings for. I love their variety and how there is something for everyone. I also like how they continuously improve. Their oriental soup used to be very average, but now it is something I go for when I am there. 

Like my fellow Singaporeans, I decided to "attack" the seafood table. My favourite is always the snow crab. They are always generous with the pincers and each come with succulent chunks of meat. Diners usually swipe off a full plate for their table. Try to be there when they refill it. My husband went for the crabs, it was cooked in various gravy. Joy for the tastebuds!

Dishes to look out for this time round includes the Lobster Bisque with Cognac, House-smoked Pork Belly and 12-hour Braised Tajima Wagyu Beef Short Rib. I was super surprised to see Frog Leg being served too. Must try is the Mayura Station Chocolate-fed Wagyu Beef with Ponzu and Braised Leek! For the adults, the selection this time round was insanely awesome! I ate so much, I didn't have any room left for sashimi!

During our 3-hours long meal (yup that's how long we stayed), we even had mini quizzes and htht within ourselves. The kids didn't even watch any shows. I knew that was how engaged they were. After our chat breaks, we continued on with the desserts - the kids went for their favourite ice-cream and chocolate fondue. If you have limited capacity, skip their cakes cos they are not as outstanding as the rest. 

Best buffet in town, it just never disappoints. A perfect place for diners (especially big families) to celebrate any special occasions. For those who want to try "sea of flavours", it is here until 21 June 2026 (Fridays to Sundays from 6pm to 10pm)

Edge - Surf and Turf

Probably the best buffet theme we have had at Edge, I absolutely love the offerings for 'Surf and Turf', featuring delicacies both from the land and sea. Call me bias, but I adore the seafood selection more. Some of my favourites include the charcoal-barbecued giant squid and Jumbo white clam in Hakka Sweet Wine Broth. 

My usual favourites were also served i.e. Sashimi, roasted pork, snow crab etc. My only problem was that I enjoyed so much food that I couldn't find space for seconds. Also for me who was relatively familiar with Edge's usual offerings, I had quite a bit of fun exploring old spaces to find new dishes. 

Sorry for the massive amount of food photos, I just had so much fun eating and snapping. Another problem from over-stuffing was that you need to find food to break the taste. I particularly love the oriental soups and drank a few for this purpose. To be rather frank, I never remembered this to be Edge's strong suite. I was pleasantly surprised to find how good their soups are now. 

For those who love meats, don't miss the charcoal-barbecued Marinated Lamb T-Bone! It was so, so good. While we were there, the whole Edge was packed with no seats for walk-ins. So be sure to reserve early. Best of all, free flow of soft drinks for all. Only until 29 Mar (Fri to Sun) for dinner (6pm to 10pm), don't miss it! This is probably the most worth buffet to date.

Pacific Emporium - Festive High Tea

We have been to their high tea before and really enjoyed it. Usually, we would go in the weekdays because it is easier to get a "spaceship". This is the first time we tried a weekend slot and I really enjoyed the "buffet style". Unlike before where we will basically be served one of each item, there was no cake tower and we could more of the items we really liked. 

Because it was the Christmas season, we got to enjoy special treats such as the beef wellington, roasted turkey breast and pork roulade. To be quite frank, I never quite fancy these dishes. But maybe it is because I never tasted anything astonishing. The serving here was so good, I ended up having 2 plates of them. 

For those who are particular about presentation, you might be slightly disappointed because there is no fancy cake stand. But I think the quantity of food really make up for it. It is a high tea that fills you up. Also, I love that they had a stand that served prawn noodle soup to warm the tummy. It was actually a great way to chill, and catch up during the festive season. If you want an more affordable buffet, this is a nice place to check out.

Steak & U.S. Poultry Buffet at Entrepot

For those are curious, a steak & U.S. Poultry buffet is basically a buffet without seafood. For me, I am more of a red meat person, so this is right up my alley. Apart from steaks, chicken and turkey, you get to enjoy flavourful pasta, salad and an array of desserts. Compared to many other buffets, the variety isn't as wide. But...every dish was top-notch. 

Maybe it is because Entrepot is helmed by Chef Nixon, the chicken served was extremely tender and delicious. To be quite frank, I am more of a beef than chicken person. Usually, I just take a tiny serving of chicken at buffets just to try. This is one of the rare occasions, I went for a second helping. Apart from the chicken, the pumpkin (yes shocking since it doesn't form my usual palette) was another show stealer. 

For the children, they indulged in the pasta (one of the best I have ever tasted to be honest) and the chicken. They tried a bit of turkey and rounded up their meal with lots of desserts and a delicious white rabbit ice-cream (original is better tasting in my opinion). Generally, the flavour profile at this buffet is richer. 

The meats taste better when paired with reds. For non-alcoholic options, you must try the exclusive The Robertson House Curated Teas and The Robertson Brew. To find the recommendations in their drink menus, simply look for the word Robertson, and you will find the Robertson Gin & Tonic (S$24 per glass), Dr. Robertson's Lager ($12 half pint/ $17 full pint), Dr Robertson's Chai Tea Lemonade ($12 per glass)

The Christmas buffets happens only from 24th to 28th December 2025. Children under 6 yo gets to dine free. It is priced pretty affordably too, especially the top-up for the alcoholic beverages.

I can't wait for X'mas already and all its merry feasting. Entrepot is located at the fancy Robertson House. It is really new and gorgeous, perfect place for a staycation to wind down for the year. :)

Tastes of the Australian Outback: How can Australia be so yummy!

They always say food taste better when shared. So we decided to bring the taste of Australia to the men at home. So Edge launched its "Tastes of the Australian Outback’ Dinner Buffet Experience" as at 14 October until 9 November 2025. Apart from the usual delight, they got to enjoy Tasmanian Oysters, Poached Rainbow Strout and also the Giant Australian Queensland Group, steamed Teochew-style. 

If you love your meats, the carving station included a slow-roasted Angus Beef, slow-roasted Kangaroo Leg marinated in Taylor Port Wine (like what!) and Australian Duck Bourguignon with Nashi Pear. The first thing we had to know after they enjoy their spread was how does a kangaroo leg taste, "delicious" apparently!

At the charcoal Barbecue Grill, you will find aromatic Grilled Olive-marinated Spatchcock with roasted parsnips and pacific mussels in Chardonnay Sauce. It was an excellent place to catch-up with old friends or gather with loved ones over endless feasting and drinks to pair. The men had a roaring good time and learnt a lot more about the parts of the cow. 

Tastes of the Australian Outback is only available during dinner (from 6pm to 10pm) It is priced a little cheaper than the usual buffet price:

Pacific Emporium - Peranakan Afternoon Tea

Back at our favourite tea-place - Pacific Emporium. We have been there once and couldn't stop telling how nice the place was and good the food was to the husband (who didn't join us previously). So, it was only fair to experience it with him this time round so he doesn't feel to left out. Pacific Emporium is truly one of most guarded gems of Singapore. 

For ambience, you get a private cubicle (the kids to love to call it a space ship) and it is surrounded by water, giving you the waterside vibes. If you look up, you get to enjoy skylight and a gorgeous low-angle view of the place's architecture. Every time I am here, I just can't help taking different angled shots.

The tea menu was Peranakan-inspired (my favourite!) For those who enjoy the savoury food, you would love that this set comes with 2 mini local delight mains. There were 4 options and we picked the Nonya Laksa and the Babi Pongteh. Both were really good even as standalone dishes themselves. As a whole, this could totally serve as a late lunch. Even with the 2 kids to help with the nibbles, we still ended up bringing home leftovers. 

This set came with 2 set of beverages each, which keep you well hydrated throughout. For families of 4 (with young children under 12 year old), this works well because everyone can have a drink. This time round, it comes with an additional welcome drink - Nonya Bloom which my daughter really loved. 

The treats were super beautiful as always. The "Fish Tank" jelly was particularly beautiful and tasty too. The Hazelnut Praline Puff was quickly gobbled up by my children. The savory treats were slight fusion, but not too much such that it lost its Peranakan roots. I particularly love the Nyonya “Kerabu” with Baby Abalone. Yums. 

For weekend, it is S$68++ and kids under 6YO dine for free. 2 seatings at 1pm and 4pm. So you can do a late lunch or early dinner. I personally prefer the 1pm slot. 2 hours is a pretty good timing to set aside so that you can chill and soak in the good vibes <3

Awfully Chocolate: Raclette Wheel

To be quite frank, when I first saw people sharing on this, I just couldn't figure out what a Chocolate Raclette Wheel did. I received a 1-for-1 voucher and decided to give it a try. First, you need to know that only the Wisma Atria Outlet and their buffet had this. The buffet is really hard to book so if you are dying to give a try fast, this is the place to go. 

The selection in this outlet is different from the rest. There was a lot more interesting variety. We decided to try out the Profiterole Tower (which the children were utterly impressed with) and the Chocolate Pound Cake. The kids enjoyed pouring the chocolate over the pound cake and Profiterole Tower and indulged happily in their sweet treats. 

On top of that, I also ordered the Muah Chee (which I thought wouldn't be able to be found outside) as well as one of their chocolate drinks. We might have over-ordered and by the end of it, we were all on a "sugar-rush". Overall, I thought the price was a little on the high side (even after my use of voucher), but the chocolate was really top tier. 

If you want a value-for-money deal, I would recommend the buffet. This is really more of an one-off thrill for me and it was a pretty good chocolate experience. 

Easter Sunday Brunch at Edge

You guys may know that Halloween is my kids' favourite. But given how we were celebrating Easter this year, I think Easter has just be a close second now. On Easter weekend itself, we also went to the Easter Buffet at Edge. I have heard from many people if you are looking for a place that is not just an egg hunt but involves a bit of feasting, this is the place to be. 

And after going, I have to say I pretty much agree. By now, you can pretty much tell I have been to Edge countless of time. But every time, the effort to surpass is always there. There were so many little Easter deco around. I didn't used to be one that was of a "Easter person", but just being there alone made me felt ready to enjoy the festivities. 

The kids, as usual, enjoyed their moments there. This year, an egg hunt, crafts, and magic show were organised for them, so it kept them quite well occupied. There was a good amount of breather for the husband and I to sit down, catch a breathe and just take in the moment. The whole place was bustling, but I thought the staff did an excellent job to manage the crowd. 

The Egg Hunt was staggered, so at any one time, not every kid was dashing around. For parents with younger children (like me), I felt safer to let them venture a bit on their own when it was their turn. The staff was also really helpful to direct them to the eggs. I thought it was nice that every kid came back finding something and feeling like a winner. I have even videos of my kids dancing around in joy. 

Even the magician was pretty good - engaging and not too lame. Pardon me, but some magicians really crack the worse jokes. But I thought this one stuck a good balance.

Sunday Brunch - Kids Play Area is back

Back at the Sunday Brunch of the Edge because of the play area for the kids. Parents will understand how it important that is. Finally, I could leave them inside and will have a chance to roam freely, at to my heart's delight. This time round, I even found more goodies (when I thought I have tried everything). A less distracted mind really allows you to notice more

This time round, there was a balloon sculptor and no face painting. When the balloon sculptor was not  roaming around to make the children happy, she would be hanging around in the play room helping to keep a watchful eye on the kids. Generally, there was not much change to the playroom since our last visit. There were the tents, cushions and a dessert table which the children loved. 

Top new foods that we would recommend this time round includes:

• The first pic on the first collage - Didn't catch its name but it was divine
• Fried Kuay Teow which is the husband's ultimate favourite. 
• The unassuming plum gelato ice cream which me and the kids cannot get enough of. 

This place is so popular now, I even bumped into my boss who was on the Bottomless package. For at SGD178++ per adult, you get to enjoy all-you-can-drink beers, wines and cocktails, apart from the non-alcoholic drinks. I was told that this is the best alcohol deal in town if you are quite a heavy drinker or just needs a place to drown your sorrows. Ending the post with a cute neat hack, mummy made the napkin an apron for us and we managed to keep our clothes clean. :)

Feasting during CNY: Edge Buffet

CNY is really a big event in the family. But as a working mum, it can get very overwhelming to prepare the CNY dishes. One of the easier option we have opted for now is hotpot. But when work pile up, I do struggle to even go to the market to prep the ingredients. Hence, I thought a buffet was a pretty good option too, especially when the group is big. 

We were pretty blown away with the CNY decor, something we could never come out with to be honest. I was initially concerned that we might not have yusheng (it is really a key highlight), but was really pleased to see a table prepared just for it, and you could even choose your own ingredients. Given this was a buffet, you could even add on more goodies from the other station. But nothing beats having someone to clean up the toss.  

My general concern is that most buffets are mostly don't prepare Chinese food and are lesser known for that. The same goes for Edge, so I was pleasantly surprised to see double-boiled soup, Nian Gao etc. being added to the menu. Our usual favourites were also there, so we didn't felt we missed out. For the picky eaters (like my #2), a buffet is great because we don't have to ask the relatives to make exceptions for her. And the likelihood of her finding something to her liking is high. 

Although I consider myself to be a rather stickler to tradition, I have to say a buffet isn't too bad an idea. To have a good bang for your bucks, avoid the actual CNY days, and the adults can enjoy a good lunch at less than S$100 and the children at less than S$50. Most importantly, children below 6YO eat free (that's pretty hard to beat.) Plus, nobody needs to clean up after. Huat Ah!

CALI: One Night Only Special International Buffet Dinner

My Pop and I went a for a One Night Only Special International Buffet Dinner at CALI. I have been to the other restaurants of CALI before and I have always found them to provide great food and service at affordable price. The Buffet Dinner that night cost only S$38++ per pax and included free flow of alcoholic drinks. No wonder the place was packed! 

It was my first time at this outlet and I love their mini touches of the famous musicians. My Pop couldn't stop taking photos. The food was awesome (as usual) and felt more Indian than International. I am not complaining because most of the selection was something I have not tasted at other places. We had some "hot favourites" (no pun intended) and took double servings for those. 

As this was an one-day event, there was a lot going on. Internationally-acclaims and award-winning culinary masters were within the room tasting and giving critiques to our local flavours. At the other side of the room, there was a 2-men band serenading the rest of the guests. The ambience was pretty good with a nice mix of boisterous festivity yet enough quiet spots for us to have private conversations. It is not everyday my Pop and I have time to ourselves and only us 2. 

I would love to recommend all of you to join, but sadly this is only a one day thing. But you can still enjoy the "Culinary World Tour" menu from 11am onwards at CALI @Novotel Singapore. Separately, there is also a super value-for-money promotion that will be running at all CALI outlets!

Oktoberfest at Edge - Tastes of Germany

To many of our readers, I am sure you guys know how much we love the Buffet at Edge. We love that they always serve the all-time favourites and have seasonal add-ons which give a fresh new take on things. This time round in view of the Oktoberfest, Edge offered guests the "Taste of Germany".

They say food taste best when shared and we can't agree more. So, I asked the kids if they wanted to show their grands around this time round. And my son took up the challenge. He assured me he knew the place very well and would make sure my parents enjoyed themselves. Also, I thought it would be a great bonding session for them.  

The place transformed into a gorgeous blue and gold, which I thought really brought out the Ocktoberfest vibes. The German favourites were all in full glory - Sausages, Pork Knuckles and Pretzels. And not to forget the beer (which is not included in the price). Not to boast how much I know the family, I knew they would go wild about the cooked oysters! (You can read my comments here if you missed it previously, haha.)

The kids basically knew what they liked so it made my parents' life very easy. They peacefully ate their pizzas, steamed fish and pasta. This time round, they also got to try Spezi - a popular German soft drink with cola and orange soda and enjoyed the variety of sausages. We haven't been too courageous when it comes to travelling but I am glad we kinda brought Germany to them :D

My parents only have good things to say about Edge and they actually can't stop talking about it. I read somewhere that relationship grows stronger because of shared experiences and I can kinda of see how true that statement it. My parents would share with me stories of how the kids know precisely where the ice-cream were and that yes I was right, the lobsters were absolutely yummy!

If you have any family/ corporate functions, I would suggest Edge because it provides a really good variety of premium quality. If you have younger kids, then the brunch would be more ideal because of the play area. We are nearing the tail-end, but if you want to try out the "Tastes of Germany”, it is until 26 October 2024. The BEST buffet for parents - Edge

Truly, you never know what you miss out until you experience it. Edge recently introduced a Kids Play Area and it is such a game changer. Just to caveat, my kids are pretty manageable in the grand spectrum so I always got the better deal. I felt I could really enjoy a meal. I have always been full of praise for Edge  (read my reviews here), but with the play area, the husband and I finally had some we-time and the food never tasted better. 

What's special about this play area is its own little dessert table that was catered to their height. The kids could scoop the candies themselves and also enjoy the chocolate fondue. Literally every child came out with "brown chocolatety lips". There was also a talented face paint artist who could draw whatever the kids want. 

Some tips on how to make your meal at Edge absolutely enjoyable, first of all, you need to request for the seats near the play area. You can either make sure they finish their meal first before releasing them into the play area or let them go "free-and-easy". I did the latter and it didn't work out too bad. They would binge themselves crazy but would come out patiently to enjoy the nutritious meals we scooped for them. 

The kids spent a good deal of time in the room, which was very child-friendly and sufficiently entertaining. For the olders kids, they would gather the cushions and watch a movie playing in the background. I just had to exert eye-power, instead of chasing them around. We spent a total of 3 hours at the buffet (unprecedented) and for the first time in my life, the husband and I could have proper conversation over a meal. 

Because it was such a relaxing meal, I was even in the mood to beautify my drinks - I took some fruits from the station to make mocktails. The state of the mind does make a difference, I was more observant of the deco, architecture and variety of food (which my husband told me was nothing new and has always been there.) Guess my vision was always too focused on parenting the kids, I have missed out "the finer things in life" literally!

After our delightful meal, I couldn't help but broadcast to my friends, coworkers and mummy communities how wonderful this place was. It is perfect for birthday celebrations or just an anniversary meal. The kids could tag along without stressing the other attendees. Everyone could just have a good time and enjoy the food. <3

Most Scenic Afternoon Tea - Pacific Emporium

 

Check out their atrium of Pan Pacific, can you believe it - we had our afternoon tea at the floating pods. This must be the biggest secret of afternoon tea history. The 2 toddlers joined and called the pods the spaceship. :P They spent a good deal of time walking across the bridge and coming back to the mothership for their beverage or snacks.

As a parent, sometimes I do get affected when others give us "the glare" when the children misbehave. The beauty of these pods was that it provided a private space. Also, sound don't really travel from one pod to another.  You can have good conversations without fear of disturbance - either from others or to others. 

Like other tea sets, each set comes with 3 tiered. If you have been following my tea journey, you would know that I prefer tea sets are less surfeiting. In terms of aesthetics, the set at  Pacific Emporium was delicately made, each worthy of a photo of its own. You will be pleased to hear that each piece is as tasty as it looks. I love all but was particularly impressed with the Singapore Chilli Crab Meat in Egg Custard with Mini Bun and Coconut Bandung with Chendol.

As we went on the weekday, we had the exclusive Raspberry Sakura Red Velvet and Pulut Hitam Brûlée Mousse. Weekday sets are cheaper priced at $68++ per person. However, if you are into a more "buffet-like" tea session, you may want to consider going on a weekend. For an extra $10 per pax, you can get to enjoy 5 live stations serving our local favourites, such as prawn noodle, assam laksa, rojak etc. 

Not because we are self-obsessed but because of the gorgeous ambience, we ended up taking a lot of photos as well. I am baffled why this isn't the top place to enjoy afternoon tea because this place just top my charts. The floating pod is definitely one-of-a-kind and the food was really good. As we couldn't finish all, we ended up bringing some back to share with the rest of the family. The food still maintained its standards. Even the pickiest in our household gave the affirmation nod. 

If you like local food and is looking for some fusion or a twist, do try this out. For tea, it is quite reasonably priced. And with the floating pod experience, it is an absolute bang for your bucks. I don't usually say this but you must check it out!

Missing Local Delights: Flavours of the Lion City

If you have been away home for long or is a tourist who just wants to go one spot to enjoy all the local delights, Edge's Flavours of the Lion City. Like many other tourists, I always had the conception that there is no one place for all when it comes to good local food. But this buffet that prove me wrong. Any iconic local food could be found here and they were of very good standards. 

I was extremely pleased to find my childhood favourite - ice cream in rainbow bread. Things that were really good include the satay (cooked over charcoal), Deep-fried Durian, Banana & Chempedak Ball, and Kopi O Cake. The Teh-Tarik was also really good. 

Our all-time favourites - such as the lobster and oysters were still being served. We went on a weekday, but the place was packed! I think it is a perfect hosting place if you had overseas clients/ colleagues/ relatives coming over. Do book ahead if you are planning to head down cos I doubt there will be walk-ins available. 

The children as usual were having a wonderful time. By now, they are already quite familiar with Edge and also the food they serve. They know their favourites - pizza, steamed fish and the customisable pasta. The kids really enjoy "making" their own pasta. The ice cream and chocolate fondue is also another place which they remember fondly. Note: The steamed fish is my favourite food to serve them because it is healthy and delicious. 

One of the more interesting food I noticed this round was the steamed oyster. I am not sure about you guys but some of the old folks in our household are really against raw seafood. Dishes like this are great options because it widens the selection of premium seafood they can enjoy and "make the money work better". Psss...Singaporean citizens born in the year 1965 a special price of $88++ per person.

The "Flavours of the Lion City: A Culinary Expedition Through Singapore" at Edge is only available for dinner from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm from 9 July until 8 August 2024. Prices include complimentary coffee, tea, teh tarik, iced limau, and soya chin chow.

Tea - Not just for 2

Not every group comes in pairs or even numbers, that's my grouse when it comes to tea. Was pretty please with Rose Veranda at Shangri La. Unlike other tea experience, this is per person at S$68++ which means you could come in groups of odd numbers. Extremely value for money, it comes with the savories, a main (yes you didn't read me wrong) and even free-flow desserts!

To get a bigger bang for your bucks, I would suggest having this as lunch instead with your group. Just having a tiny morsel of each item at the desserts buffet is bound to fill you up. I love how this tea session did not shortchange us in any way. The items served at the desserts bar were of quality and good to be served on its own. They were not just "tummy fillers" or food that was just pretty to the eyes. 

Like typical Asians, we decided to try different mains on the menu. We tried the Grilled Angus Hanger Steak, Herb Crusted Confit Salmon and Marget Duck Breast. In terms of taste, the steak was the best. But if you are a guy and needs something that can fill you up more, I would suggest the salmon. There was also the vegetarian version - Honey Carmelised Baby Carrots for your vegetarian friends. 

If you are a scone-person like me, you will be happy to hear that their scones is probably one of the best I have tasted in Singapore. For the desserts bar, my favourite was the sinful chocolate cake. It was those rare moments which I indulged in a whole slice. Oops. 

The Rose Veranda at Shangri La is truly a delightful place. Every inch it is instagrammable. Even my Mum wanted a model shot. LOL! My kids preferred the seat which you could look down and watch the Kois swimming around. This table is near the entrance so it may lack a bit of privacy. It will be available from Friday to Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. If you don't have any lunch plans in your calendar yet, do make a date there. Remember, tea is more than a thing for 2. *Winks*

A trip to Toby's Roaster

I wouldn't consider myself much of a coffee connoisseur, but I do love my coffee. I was pretty thrilled to hear that Toby's Estate would be reopening. This is its Singapore flagshop and I looked forward to its new looks and flavours available. Toby's Estate offers a range of diverse beans to choose from. It is also at this place I was introduced to the Freezus menu - using high-end frozen coffee beans. 

Generally, I do struggle with choosing the type of beans I would like to try because of my lack of familiarity. It is great that the menu came with a flavour wheel that has description  of different taste which serves as a good guide for layman. Apart from the beautiful interior, what stood out for me was the staff's and barista's passion of what they do. 

I was also introduced to their new Flavour - the Savour Pandan Waffle Coffee. With their coffee workshop, I was able to better appreciate the taste of the Latte and it sparked my interest in brewing. (Feels rather scientific by the way.) I even bought a packet home so that we can experiment with. This was possibly the best taste class I have been to as I came home knowing a lot more about my coffees. 

Can't wait to be back to try out the other items on the menu. If you are keen on specialty coffee, this is really the place to be in. The ambience is awesome and the staff are hospitable. Do try the all-new interactive Filter and Espresso Bars, Toby’s new canned Not Hot Coffee range (SG$5.30 each) which offers refreshing cold coffees in three tempting flavors: Oat Milk Latte, Cold Brew Black, and 'Spro

Tonic. For the food menu, the hot favorites are Brekkie of Champions to the Surf & Turf Tower, Toby’s French Toast and the Smoked Salmon & Herb Cream Cheese Sandwich. :)

Family Friendly Buffets: Edge

Parents do ask me if buffets are suitable for toddlers and my answer is "yes, but it depends on which buffet". A children-friendly buffet usually would need to have good options. I need food which they can self-feed. So this would usually mean pizza, steamed fish/ meats, flavored rice, fruits, pasta, porridge. The last 4 being a bit more messy.  For this options, I would also need some variety because of the different cooking method, my children being a little picky may reject the food. 

The options would also need to satisfy the adults! My husband and I just can't eat baby food. We are not people who eat a lot but we are quite particular on the quality. We are just at a age we no longer can absorb bad calories. For me, the meat and seafood is really important. Buffet is an option when we cannot come to terms on what to eat. So you eat yours and I eat mine. LOL!

Back to food, Edge has an amazing selection. I never thought I would ever get lost in a maze of food, but for Edge I did. I kept finding new areas with new selection of food! I did somehow got tempted so I ate more than I usually would, haha. But it is a good problem because the quality of the food here is pretty high and maintained its standard since I last tried it (read about it here). 

For me, the must try here is the oysters. They are the best-est I ever had. I don't usually do second helpings but I did for this. The grilled lobster was also fantastic but it does run out fast. Good thing our table was stationed right in front of it, so we had the first dips when the fresh batch arrived. Another favorite of mine was the Lobster Eggs Benedict.

What we went was for the Sunday Escapade and I was rather blown away when I realise there was even live music. My toddlers were bobbing along to the tunes they serenaded and the experience was really pleasant. It is quite different from background music. So what's great about this is that the kids (who are both below 6 years old) ate free!!! If your family structure is like mine, your total damage would be $138 * 2 = $276 for the 2 adults (if you don't take the alcohol package).

And for $138, it comes with chilled juices and soft drinks so you don't have to trouble yourself with add-ons. If you haven't got any plans line up for Easter yet, you should also check out their Easter Sunday Brunch on 31 Mar, because it comes with largest Chocolate Easter Egg, filled with

an assortment of candies. And there will also be additional activities such as Balloon Sculpting and Easter Egg Painting. The icing of the cake...Easter Bunny mascot. Good food, good fun to entertain the day, that day is going to be perfect because the parents will finally get a good break and focus on the food.
