A different Mother's Day

This year mother's day is a bit more special (not because I am also going to be a mother) but because we are all stuck indoors, thanks to Covid. In Singapore, quite a lot of services have been deemed as non-essential. So not all flower and cake deliveries are operating. We can't also go out for a meal like we normally do.

Hence, the bro and I thought it would be fun to tease my Mum a little. My Mum doesn't appear much here, even if she does, she is always portrayed as the woman who always want to "share" my clothes/ accessories that catch her eyes. Many of you may not know, she is quite a cleanliness freak too and she has such a particular way of doing the chores that we gave up doing cos we always get scolded for not doing it a specific, particular way.

Presenting...NaOClean Bloom Box. This is truly the best of both worlds because it has the flowers that Mum loves and 3 bottles of 250ml of NaoClean Sanitisers. For the first time, we weren't chided about an impractical gift. In fact Mum was very curious about her early Mother's Day delivery and had a good laugh about it when she realised what it was.

Of course, she set aside the flowers into a vase and quickly put the bottles to good use and started sanitising the whole house while muttering "good one". FYI, these bottles can be used as hand sanitisers as well. For those of you who are interested in getting your Mum one. This box costs S$150 (with free delivery...awesome cos I can't deal with exorbitant delivery charges) and the flowers include quality carnations and wild foliage. Purchase the  Bloom Box before 6 May, you can even get a 21% discount. Buy 2 boxes you can get 27% off. Click here if you are keen!

The Hubs have often commented my family takes too much photos and it is true. My family love taking photos regardless the occassion. Usually, we love dressing up in our office wear but since it is WFH season we decided to show the world how we are really like at home in our old tees and shorts...hehe.

One thing I realise from the photos, my Mum enjoys the photoshoot more when we are around. Her smile is definitely more natural and comfortable when it is taken with us. Not a full-fledged mother yet but maybe the partial joy of motherhood is joining your brood in their crazy idea of fun activities. :P Bye Bye Cabin Fever

Stay Flawless with Iryasa

Recently, I am super busy...boo hoo hoo. No thanks to the festivities. With stress, little sleep, my skin has been looking kinda of dull (like my mood, kidding). When I am in a rush, I actually dash off without make-up (this might be shocking to you girls who are very into make-up). So it is imperative for me to keep my skin in tip top condition.

I do a bit of facial once a month. Honestly, if you don't do daily maintenance, it can be quite difficult to maintain a dewy, radiant look without make-up. To help my skin get pass these days, I have been trying out some products from Iryasa.

Day-Products

Just to share, these are the 2 products I use for the day. Every morning, I will dab on the Day Luxuriate Gel ($42).  This product won me over with its dainty pink colour and spa-like fragrance. There is some therapeutic de-stressing effect when you apply on your face each morning. Don't be be fooled by its appearance because this product contains lots of plant-based antioxidants that helps to give you face a moistured, glowy look. Day Luxuriate Gel looks a bit viscous, but it is really light on the face, you can barely even feel it. Thumbs up.

The other product I use is the facial mist ($26) which you can double up as a toner. I am not very consistent in using it because I use it more as a freshener whenever I am feeling warm. If the bottle was a little smaller, I would bring it along with me. But now it is sitting at my office. It is quite fast at refreshing my tired and is definitely one of the better facial mist I have used thus far. Its potency is probably due to the rich botanical extracts and antioxidants ingredients such as aloe vera, green tea, ylang ylang, holy basil and chamomile.

Night-Products

For the night, I use the night indulge cream ($48) which has a light lemon scent.  For optimum effect, the night indulge cream should be used on every night. There are some nights I am so drained I just skip this product and the effects can be quite visible The night indulge cream helps to boost the moisture level in the skin. So when I don't use it, my skin looks visibly drier in the morning.

Other effects of the night indulge cream includes slowing down the signs of aging and reducing hyperpigmentation. I can't really verify the effects of this as of this point because I haven't been using it for that long a period but so far I am quite pleased with the hydration effect. I just need to make my skincare routine part of my bedtime habit and not be lazy!

Apart from the products I am using, Iryasa has quite a wide range of products. Given the effectiveness of their products, I am quite keen to try out the Under Eye Oil ($27), Purifying Face Oil ($88) as well as the essential oil series. From now until 2nd Feb, you can get $18 off for any purchases above $88 using the discount code "Prosper". It is quite a good time to buy if you are interested to try out their products! :)

Little Miss Dainty with Yuna_Mis

"Never too many", that's what I would proclaim when it comes to earrings. I am bringing dainty, girly pieces back into my collection. FYI, I now have an earrings storage organiser and with more storage space, I can now increase my collection of danglies on my ears. Hehe.

When I received my package from Yuna_Mis, I had quite a bit of X'mas vibes from the flakes packaging. The little girl inside me squealed silently at the cute sakura flowers and pink wrapping. It has been a while since I felt so dainty. Maybe my style is evolving again...hehe.

Am pretty thrilled by this piece because it got my hub's approval. Although I do think I am a strong independent woman and need no man agree with my shopping buys, his acknowledgement of my good taste made me felt good. In his words, "this piece is quite unique" and he fiddled with it a bit.

I do think although it is quite an interesting piece on its own, it may be a bit harder to draw attention to it on my ears because it is quite a tiny, intricate piece. Am thinking of tying my hair up when I show it to the world...hehe. Am quite pleased with this piece cos I am totally imagine dressing up or down with it.

Tada...presenting my favourite piece. This piece surpass my expectations with the intricacy of the flowers. Initially, I was a little worried it might be too heavy for my ears. I have quite a few pieces that made my ears hurt when I wear them too long. When I realise how light they were on my ears, I immediately upgraded this to be in my top 10 all-time favourites.

I have shifted out of the dainty look for a while, simply because I am not a very demure lady. But I feel this piece has character and I think still reflect my personality in it. Yes, I wear my heart on my ears...not my sleeves. Saving this for CNY or wedding dinners. <3

The last piece in the collection was an asymmetrical piece. This was initially my most anticipated piece. I feel a little bad for it, because it is placed last simply because the other 2 were too outstanding. Nonetheless, I still like the design. But it is definitely not a challenging piece if you intend to pair it with formal wear.

Although I am not much of a sweetheart, the pieces of Yuna_Mis has definitely scored a place in my heart. And they are so thoughtful to provide complimentary alcohol wipes, spare back stoppers and polishing cloth. The polishing cloth is really handy even for my other jewelry. I have nothing but praises for Yuna_Mis, totally worth our support <3

Update: Use "Forfunk15" during checkout 15% off. no minimum purchase required.

Funky Find: Sandbox VR

Part of my personal joy in setting up this space is sharing with you guys a thrill in town that taps upon cutting edge technology. Okay, what I am going to introduce you have been here for quite a while. By now, I can safely assure you the technology is quite developed and you will be able to fully enjoy the experience.

Intrigued by the introductory video? It is not made by me la. For all participants, Sandbox VR will collate your very own bragging video. And it is not just one, but two videos. After my game, I shamelessly spammed every group chat my videos. I had so much fun, I just had to broadcast this.

There are currently 3 games available at Sandbox VR. The Hub and I picked Amber Sky which is pretty much space warriors defending the Earth from Aliens. I screamed quite a bit in the game because I am that sort of people that get sucked in. The staff at Sandbox VR helped filmed us while we were playing. And I am embarrassed to say I just talked non-stop throughout...lol hence not all footage can be used. HAHAHA!

If you don't flying bugs and ugly aliens, there are 4 other game options to pick. Personally, despite all my yelling and over-engagement in the game, I think scary games are the BEST cos you just break free. And the things your friends would do to survive...unimaginable. Lol, for me, I just holler non-stop as if I could kill things with my voice. :P

Just to share a little more on the procedure. Everything happens in this green room. All we have to do is suit up and tie the motion sensors on our limbs and we are ready to go. If you are competitive, tie the sensors tightly cos mine got loose halfway and I had problems activating my shield. Hence, there were times I looked like I was swatting flies -_-"'

The gear is actually quite heavy. But once you are in the game, you forget about the load. Hehe. I had quite a good workout and broke out in a bit of sweat (nope, is not just cos of fear la). Do wear loose fitting clothes so that you won't feel overly restrictive. And don't worry if you wear specs, cos they provide lens for the game. *Thumbs up*

Be prepared...after the session, you may lose all your friends and maybe even lover. This was me boasting to the Hub that I am an experienced gamer before the game started. FYI, my accuracy was lesser than 40%. Hahaha. My Hub keep asking me what I was doing in the game. I was ermm...commenting on everything I saw...shooting at him for fun...and I shot the commander a few times cos he scared me. Oops.

I also sort of enjoy rotating my head round and round. So sometimes, things will seemingly appear from nowhere very suddenly. In retrospect, it is more of my extreme swerving and darting. Lol. Another good video below for your viewing and laughing pleasure. Enjoy. Kudos to the team for the hilarious edits. If you are keen, quote "ForFunk" and you will get to enjoy 15% off for the weekday sessions. The code is valid until 31 Oct 2019. So act fast!

**Code has now been extended to 31 Dec. Enjoy!**

Issiyle: This is Style

I am seriously quite addicted to earrings. Haha, it is not quite a frequent sight. The hubs would watch me try out these little joys and watch me mutter on the occasion I am going to wear them. Recently, I think my fashion sense is skewed to either classy or funky.

I know it sounds world apart >.< but that's me...never in the middle. Always sort of swinging from one extreme to another.

Shocking but true, every set of earrings from Issiyle is pacakged like this. To me, this is the perfect bridesmaid gift. Sigh, nope this is not a gift from the bride but I hope she gets the hint. :P Made from 925 Sterling Silver, this is my everyday piece. I like that it is elegant and easy to pair.

Initially I found the hoops a little difficult to put on. But I think it was just me being unfamiliar with hoops earrings. This is currently one of my favourites. And it is only $15. I know it doesn't look much. But this pair is awesome.

I actually got 2 pieces form this series - Drown in Druzy. I guess this speaks volume about how much I love this collection. I got the one in charcoal grey for my bridesmaid duty (even though I haven't got the dress yet). Have pretty much told the bride, my dress needa match this. :P The other piece was in pale rose for the wedding banquet.

Personally, I think the shiny pieces looks more attractive. But if you like something more subtle (like for the wedding), then the less sparkly pieces may actually work. You will be seeing these pieces again, but I probably won't be wearing them for other events before the wedding :D

I fell in love with this piece when I first saw it. And when I received it physically, I knew this was <3. I just immediately slip it on. Generally I am not into asymmetrical stuff cos it looks unbalance (like me and my life wahaha), but this one is actually a piece of art.

For this piece, you are really paying for the design. Unfortunately, this piece is out of stock. Hope Issiyle will bring it back, cos I am sure some of you will love it. Just a side-note, Issiyle provides free registered courier delivery for all purchases made before Dec 2019.

This wasn't one of my picks. The latest collection - Eden of Cerulean was very fancy. It was "too geometrical". When I first saw the safety pin earrings, I was like thinking "hmm...interesting" But I just couldn't imagine myself wearing them on my ears. But there are many times I am wrong...and this is one of those time. This earrings is really beautiful. I just need an occasion to flaunt it.

Readers of Forfunk, consider today another one of your lucky day. Issiyle will be providing a 15% discount worldwide if you quote "ForFunk". There is no minimum purchase required, but this is only valid for a single use and cannot be used for discounted items. If you have looking for gifts for your girlfriends, this is quite a good time to make the move...Hope you enjoy this post. Will be squeezing out more time to churn out more content :P

Her Love of my life

I think...I might really be obsessed with earrings. My latest posts are on all sorts of earring variations. I need to find a way to store them all...Helpz!

This piece is so frigging engaging. It is an absolute conversation starter. The day I wore it, I was like asking people to guess the princess. After much surveying on my side, I realise Rapunzel isn't a very popular princess. Foolish men like my hubs, bro and other males who cannot be named here told me she is Snow White?!? Like how does Disney Snow White even look like this!

This pretty princess has long flowy hair, literally. The next most popular guess was Elsa...cos I guess she is the princess of the century. Definitely my love <3 from Her Love (pun intended) Hehe.

Initially, I was a little disappointed by this set because it wasn't as I envisioned. But Nora quickly redeemed herself because she was a true gem. Even though she was less than $8, she showed charm and class. The design is very unique, not a full circle. It can a bit difficult to wear if you have a thick earlobe. Was feeling very fortunate about my bony ears :D

The pearl is not a smooth oval. But imperfect pearls are trending at the moment, so I am glad to add this to my collection. The price of this piece is also very attractive. For the quality, there is no way any other shop in town is selling pearl pieces at this price! *Thumbs up must buy!*

3. Everly ($7.90)

I got this thinking that it came in a pair. Actually it was only one side. I have to admit this piece does have a lot of character. I have no idea how it made me look so cool, and "wu-seh" (charismatic) with this man. My only grouse is that this piece is a little fragile.

Apart from that, I adore the geometric design. A bit of imbalance on the ears which I am not very used to for now, but I am sure I will soon grow comfortable with me new swag. It is amazing how a different earring can bring a different part of us out! :D

Check out the cool packaging. The earrings from Herlove.co even come with a jute pouch if you opt for the eco friendly packaging. Psst, there is a white variety of colour you can pick from (i.e. white, grey, drak grey, navy, red and brown). I don't know about you but I might just buy the earrings for the pouches cos it is so pretty and of very decent quality!

To make your day even sweeter, quote "ForFunk" and you will get to enjoy 5% off for every 2 sets of earrings purchased. Mind you, this don't last forever, so you better make your move now. :P

Treasure Trove for your ears: Psycho Lab

So yes while I was in Hong Kong, I actually donned new earrings :D I am not exactly was that even a good choice even to wear these new gorgeous there, because I am mostly drenched - either by the rain or by my own sweat. Sigh. But these earrings from Psycho Lab is worth every penny.

From the box and design of the earrings, you would think I have spent quite a bit right? (I got questioned by my Mum and Hubs on the damage T_T) But, guess what, all these cost less than $50!! Shocking right, and there is a 30% promotion if you use the code "PL30", you pay way, way less!
** Quote has expired, but please use "ChaaYen" and you will get a special discount! :P

So here's some of the photos of me wearing the beauties. When I was in Hong Kong, I mostly wore the Sunflower. You could wear it on different orientation and it is almost like a new piece already. :) For the wedding, I wore the Elegant Pearl (OOS now by the way). It is such a statement piece, there is no way you would miss it! Haha, don't even need to zoom to have a look at it. In Macau, I wore the dainty Daisy Fleur.
In collage, from left to right, top to bottom:
  1. Day 2 (Hong Kong) - I woke up at 6-ish to try and catch Chow Yun Fat. Haha, eyes were red and face were puffy. Was wearing the Sunflower cos it was the most cheery piece and I thought this piece would brighten his day and make him more agreeable for a photo. Btw, I wore this for my high tea too!
  2. Day 3(?) (Hong Kong) - Wedding Day! Wore the Elegant Pearl only once. I think this is the only piece that can't really be made casual. Was actually contemplating on getting this cos of its size. Glad I did in the end, cos it is so gorgeous, by itself and on me. *Updates* My Mum has rudely taken it for herself.
  3. Days 4 and 5 (Macau) - Zoom in to see Daisy Fleur. I think she is quite a versatile creature, cos I can imagine pairing her up with a fancy dress. :D

Personally, the bulk of Psycho Lab designs appeal to me. I think the store is named that way because every shopper who enters the site, goes berserk by the choices. I changed my mind so many times, I had to literally tell myself, "Please decide!" And it was so hard, because some of the designs were so cute...and so exclusive.

But out of the greatness of my heart, I will still share this shopping spot with you guys, cos you need to buy out some of the stuff to stop the shopaholic in me from trying to rear its ugly head. More photos of me in Psycho Lab? If you have a sharp eye, you will notice them time to time in my future posts :P

CNY Looks with Joyring

Check out my blings for CNY this year! It is my first year presenting myself as a "Mrs" and I pretty pleased to receive these 2 babies in my mail. Just between me and you, these earrings cost less than S$20 each at Joyring. But because of a sales that is currently going on, some of these fabulous earrings can go as low as S$5! Yup, you heard me right, just $5 only.

And for my readers only, cos Joyring wanna bring some joy to you. They decided to give you an exclusive discount code. Quote "CHAAYEN7" and you will get to receive 7% off entire order when you make a minimum purchase of $15.00. This is not valid with other discount codes and can be used once per customer.

With earrings from Joyring, I happily created 2 looks! Here's CNY Look 1, looking like a genie. :P I decided to use the demure looking Pudding Earrings in light blue to create something more funky. Just wanted to bring out the wild side of this dainty looking piece! Took me a while to style this red pants that is flabby at the side. Am quite happy how the 2 contrasting colours look together.

Maybe it is just me, but does earrings actually look better with short hair? This piece is not on sales, but I thought given that CNY and V-Day are so close to each other this year, it made a lot of sense to do some self-love...Hehe.

Second look with both the dress and accessories on sale. Personally, I thought the Marjorie Tassel Earrings - Green was a a darn good steal at S$5 only...like what! It is those statement piece that would bring all eyes to the ears. I think the earrings and the dress are probably a bit more mature looking.

Not sure what you guys think about it, but I am sitting on the fence on this. I think the dress is too dainty and the earrings has a little too much character to be paired together. Will probably give another go during the actual day itself. So stay tune!

Bow Wow Wow

The last photoshoot left me a rather depressing realisation. I always thought bow ties were kinda of cute. There was something preppy about them, so I had this obsession to bow everyone up for the wedding. I was really excited when I got my hands on some bowtie by Handworks by Keren.

Generally, bow ties are a pretty one-size fit all accessory. And I thought I had all grounds covered by finding something customisable and convenient. I just can't imagine my brother and father having the patience to tie their bows so I got them all the pre-tied bow tie.

So here's the big problem I failed to spot early. Some people look absolutely ridiculous in bow ties. My bf and father are good examples. Maybe it is because the bows are smaller, so the people with bigger heads just don't look smart in it. And with much research, I realise there are different types of bows. *smacks head*

The silver lining is that my brother actually look pretty darn good in a bow. He was pretty happy that everyone couldn't wear their bows...because this means he now has a greater selection of pre-tied to choose from. In fact, he took so much photos of himself looking smart...he seems almost narcissistic.

Just because my journey to a grand wedding bow hasn't been smooth doesn't mean yours wouldn't. I think for one, you should first at least take some head measurements and have different bow sizes to fit the different head circumference. I have posted a few photos of brother to prove to you how smart some people look.

Personally, I liked the more flamboyant prints. But the boys preferred the simple solids, mixed with some texture stripes. Handworks by Keren has quite a bit of unique fabrics, so you can have a bit of choice to mix and match to give the bows a bit of a pop. And because they are handmade, you can also request the bow shapes :)

Also, I wanted to give a shout-out to Handworks by Keren. Keren is actually from Indonesia so the mail was a bit slow. But she was so helpful in assisting me in monitoring and updating me on the mail package. Just so you know each bow is painstakingly handmade and not off the shelf.

Apart from bows, Keren also makes pretty pouches and looped bags. So do support her if you are a fan of handmade stuff. And just for your eyes only, I managed to get some behind the scene photos. *Proof that it is handmade* Quote "ForFunk" and you will get to enjoy some discounts too! :)

Share Now: Discount code with Style Orphic

In my Art Zoo post, I was wearing this Kitten Cropped Sweatshirt, which many people said made me look young. Actually, most of the time I look young for my age...what saying you all!!! LOL! *Triggered*

I just don't have a habit of wearing cropped tops so I thought I should share with you gals some tips on how to wear them. My biggest concern with cropped tops is that it reveals my mid-section i.e. protruding belly. I mean on good days, I guess it is cool to show them off.

But I have been binging a lot so nope, I am not ready to show these rolls. So what I did was, I paired these tops with high waisted shorts (and skirts in my next look). Because the kitty is kinda of peek-a-boo, the brain seems to take i better that this pussy is checking out the world from your pants *No Sex-jokes intended*

Just for info, I got the Kitten Cropped Sweatshirt at a great snag S$16. And you know, when the price is too good, sometimes there will be something wrong with the top. Either the dimensions are off, the material is off, or something somehow will go wrong.

But...I am glad mine turned out amazing. The material is a little bit of the swimwear material and it is a little warm in it (but that's normal for all long sleeve tops). But I am fine with it cos it is so frigging cute. The dimensions were ok. I just felt so cute in it. And it even came with a free metallic hairtie...so totally no complaints on my side.

Just so you know, the store - Style Orphic sells a series of items, other than apparel. K-pop fans, you are going to like their whole collection of K-pop items. There also onesies, Funko toys and even instax polaroids. It is actually pretty interesting to just scroll through their stuff.

For our readers only, quote "ForFunk" and you will get an additional 10% off their items. Isn't it great, I am paving for you discounts so that you can buy as much as you want off their shop!!!

First "Xylvester Girl in Asia"

For a person with only one head, I have a lot of pairs of shades. #Shady. But in my defense, I share my shades with my family and the BF. This also mean I have all the rights to have 5 pairs of sunnies. I gave a few away and so now I can present you Shade No. 5 (For all you know I call all of them Shade No. 5 like a Chanel No. 5 hehe)
This pair is a little different from the usual I own because the design is just so uncommon. The sides of my sunnies are made of wood. Yeap, you saw me right. Made of wood. If you think this is not fancy enough, you can check Xylvester out, it is a sunnies buffet (but not at a fixed price).
I like everything about Xylvester except it came in a sleek pouch which made me sweat a bit. Cos I really didn't want to receive it broken in the mail. It was wrapped in layers of bubble wrap. I am guessing this pair of sunnies is one hell of durable. But I still changed it to a fat case because you should always treasure what you love right?
My pair of shades is called the Fabiole (just in case you wanna trend with me). This shade is polarised with 100% uv protection (Don't go for anything that is not because it will damage your eyes) and has an anti-scratch coating. That is particularly important for me because I do wear specs and only swap them for photos. So my shades and galsses are always prone to damages. So the anti-scratch would definitely help to increase its lifespan.
You will definitely be seeing this shade with a lot of other looks. (But I didn't want to flood you guys) It can even fit a guy if the width of his face isn't too wide. (Like my Bro) But yea this is how I paired it when I went with my family to Gardens by the Bay. Even bumped into my BFF and her Mum there who caught me acting like a vainpot on a cloudy day. Oops there goes my image.
If you are looking for a nice pair of sunnies that is not too common in Asia/ Singapore yet, you may want to consider Xylvester. They are a Spanish Independent Eyewear Brand. They have different styles from retro to innovative chic deigned glasses. And they are of really good quality. :D
And because I am the first "Xylvester Girl in Asia" (I coined this marketing term myself), here's a discount code "XChaa" for a whooping 20% off. And psst, free shipping for Singapore, Australia and New Zealand too. Huat liao people. If you are not from any of these countries, please let me know and I will see what I can do as the first "Xylvester Girl in Asia" (making myself sound like a superhero now) :P

Vanilla Dreams: My Little Pony

I am sure some of you know by now, I am a huge My Little Pony fan. :D
I would think I am more of a boyish little girl but I think what makes me super adore My Little Pony is because it is positive and focuses a lot on good moral values. Plus it is really dreamy and cute, a stark contrast to the gloom reality.
Get Well Soon
So, I sprained my ankle last weekend if you follow me on my Instagram. It was a case of pure suay-ness, but now I am feeling more positive (resting on odd intervals). I can just fall alseep at odd timing 11am/ 3pm. Maybe I am just very exhausted so this is a very good "wake-up" call. Irony.
Lately, I have been on a streak of bad luck. Not just one, but it is like waves of them. I won't say that each is worse than the last. But it is just morale breaking when all of them come at a rather similar interval. Even nature bullied me, sending lots of insects to venture and explore my injured foot :(
AppleJack
Before all the bad things happened, a friend of mine galloped in my life. I posted its cutie mark on Instagram. He is AJ - AppleJack. (I know it is a "she" but cos it shares the same initial as my BF so it represents more of a he in my life.) I am not usually a soft-toy person. But during low points in life, a comfy softie like him is very comforting. You can bury your tears in him and feel less alone in the world.
More about AJ, among the ponies, AJ is the the most hardworking and resilient (a bit like my BF). There is so much to learn from him (both AJ and BF haha). Despite his cute appearance (his big emerald eyes and long blonde mane warms my heart) and sexy little butt, inside lies a hardy personality. I wish it could really gallop and neigh a little. That would make me squeal in delight.
Rainbow Dash
So, I got a mini Rainbow Dash keychain/ bag charm on top of my Rainbow Dash plushie. Hehe. You may not know but my character is most like Rainbow Dash/ Pinky Pie among the ponies. But my favorite is Rainbow Dash because of his rainbow mane. She has a slightly deeper personality than Pinky Dash, but I am both rolled up in one. (I happened to be born in the year of Horse too :P)
Rainbow Dash
Here's a closer look at my customised key chain. It is in navy blue theme, with my name on it. You can pick your own pony and your own charms. But I chose to let the owner pick the charms for me cos I am actually not very good at matching nice stuff (apart from clothes and accessories :P)
I really love the fact that it is multi-functional. I can even use it as a key chain if I want to. But my Mum thinks it is too chio to be a key chain so I will be using it as a bag charm instead. My favourite part is the duo "kiaps" (clips). You know how some owners only give the round coil which is very painful to use and spoils easily. I prefer the kiap so happy the charm comes with it. Now, it is so easier to use it inter-changeably.
Leather Envelope
This is how I am using it now. Pretty, isn't it? It makes every thing so much cherry. For those who are concerned, I am feeling a lot better now :) Because, nice things happen in my life too. There are people whom I don't know dropping me nice notes and that's very sweet and heart-warming. I humbly thank you all and mankind for its generosity in encouragement and kindness.
For those who are feeling down or just Ponies fan, I have something nice for you too. All these beautiful ponies came from Vanilla Dreams. For our readers, quote "ForFunk" and you will receive a S$3 discount off original price for the customised bag charms and 6 pieces of My Little Pony Bubble Stickers (worth S$5)! While stocks last, so please hurry!
Because Vanilla Dreams are having 1 year anniversary sale, you will receive an additional 20% off their plushies. Please keep a lookout for their discount code on their Instagram account. Do follow them @vanilladreamssg because apart of the discount code, there will be a giveaway of not 1, not 2, but 3 bag charms once they hit 200 followers!!! It make me happy just typing this. Keep a lookout for my instagram posts too, cos I saved a nice photo to promote there. Hehe.

Floral Garage Singapore: Flowers for Mum

Floral Garage
Women always seem to have a thing for flowers no matter how old they are. Yeap, it was my Mum's birthday recently and so I thought why not give her a floral surprise!!! My Dad was rather un-involved apart from attempting to make sure she is home in time. So Bro picked the flowers and I penned the message on our family's behalf. HAHAHA
This is called teamwork! We got our flowers from Floral Garage Singapore which had a super huge selection. Thank god, their website was quite easy to navigate. You can pick based on your budget and the flower type etc.

Surprise being surprises had lots of flops on its way. We picked quite a late delivery time (later than their norm) to ensure every one is home. Thanks to Floral Garage Singapore for accomodating! But still my brother had some last minute project work. So we were home even later. And our flower got delivered to my neighbour. Ooops. Haha, in the end had to walk over to collect and my Mum was like in the background screeching "WHY ARE YOU DISTURBING YOUR NEIGHBOUR SO LATE AT NIGHT!"
If you noticed, the card in our message was handwritten cos the typing machine broke down. 祸还真的不单行!Misery really love company doesn't it! But cos my mum was so overwhelmed with joy, she didn't even notice the tiny flops. LOL! That's the great thing about surprises. Nobody notices they tiny errors along the way.

And Mum being mums initially wanted to know the price and scold us on it. Halfway, she decided what done cannot be undone and happily went to change her clothes to take photos instead... Like LOL! I created trouble for myself and had to be her personal photographer looking for nice spots around the house for her to take her photos. Lol!
My Dad just looked along-side jealously. Did we just set a new standard!!! Lol! But to be rather honest, fathers are less celebrated than mothers. Just think of Father's Day versus Mother's Day!! Life is never fair and will never be fair!

Halfway through, my Dad decided enough is enough. He wanted photos too. So we my brother and I re-created those wedding photos poses! LOL! where they stare awkwardly at each other. My Mum insisted my Dad was making funny faces. My Dad just growled at her to get it done and over with and to be more professional HAHAHA!
We ended the day taking family photo instead. Had to rotate here and there to take the best shots cos my Dad claimed that his arm is too short to take wefies (-.-) WHY IS MY FAMILY SO LAME!!!!

LOTD: Stitch it with Him & Jae

Before 2015 comes to an end, I just had to share one of my favourite fashion designs - The stitch. I am not sure if that is its true name of this fad, but the cut-outs does remind me of the stitch design.
There was a point in time, all these cut-outs were at the abdomen area. If you have a good figure, you may look sexy. But of course, if you go overly vampy, you might end up just pure trashy. For ladies with a bit of age, it is a little bit more difficult to pull off. And so I thought I would never wear dresses with the stitch cut-out, but guess I was wrong. Like Justin Bieber song, never say never~~~
Carefree Shift Dress
1. Carefree Shift Dress with cut-out details
Shapeless dress used to be a no-no for me, cos I felt they tend to make you look fatter than you really are. Of course, during the festive binging etc. I appreciated this fashion for their bulge camouflaging abilities. And it can double take as a maternity dress, if the need comes, ka-ching, value for money!
If you want to have a waist form, you can always use a colourful belt.  I really like solid block colours now cos they are just so smart casual and you can wear it to work if the need may be. The subtle cut-out patterns at the side are definitely more conservative and make simple dresses more detailed.
-Camille Crochet Sleeve Top
2. Camille Crochet Sleeve Top
Yeah, haha if you have been noticing, I have been wearing the same top with my same preach skorts for so many events (Starbuck, LV, Etude House)! Favourite or what, it has been like an occurring theme on all my social media for the last few weeks. And yes, I love this shirt so much I am wearing it everywhere.
If I must make any grouse (not that there is any), the colour is white so your bra colour may be visible. But...the material is really not that thin and it is so comfy and airy for our hot, hot Singapore though it has been raining lately. This top is so simply beautiful. Another block coloured with stitch cut-outs at its side!
Him & Jae
And so thanks to Him & Jae, I found a new favourite clothes design. Since it is the festive season, for my readers, you can quote "CHAA10" for additional discounts. Him & Jae is a P.O. site and trendy collections are released regularly.
Generally, the designs are more along the casual, sweet style. Not really over-the-top and edgy. The clothes are of great quality though the sizes are on the big side. So do your measurements before purchasing. And that marks the end of 2015, let's usher a better 2016! :)
