Tinys.Co: Organic Baby Products

This is one of the topics I really wanted to dive into. I have asked many mummies about organic wears etc. and most mummies can't really give me much information because most don't really go for this option mainly because of its price-point. It baffles me a little because most Mummies refrain from using products which uses too much chemicals on their babies, but the same rule doesn't seem to apply from clothes.

I came across Tinys.Co and thought I should give this topic a go. If price-point is truly the reason stopping parents from going organic, then you would be happy to know that Tinys.Co is a brand from Malaysia so you get to benefit from the favourable exchange rate. Also, purchases above RM200 will allow you to enjoy free shipping.

Apart from clothes, Tinys.Co holds organic swaddles and teethers as well. For those who are considering to gift, you would be happy to know that Tinys.Co can pack the items in nice recyclable box that includes a cardboard hanger. Cute. All the items will be packed in a drawstring pouch and you can also insert a personalised note.

If you are getting a romper, you can also do personalisation. For us, we got baby an organic sleepsuit (RM149.90) instead for 3-6 months in mint. Personally, I am very in love with the pastel green colour (Psss... I even got matching maternity shorts to twin with baby). Design-wise,  Tinys.Co is very classy and simple.

Unlike most of my other sleepsuits, it is a single-zip design. In terms of the fabric, the sleepsuit is made from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. It uses non-toxic dye and is hypoallergenic. T be honest,  I actually can't tell through touch whether the fabric is organic. But one thing we all know is that the baby's skin is a lot more sensitive than an adult, in fact the epidermis is 3-5 times thinner than an adult's.

Some babies may be more sensitive to allergens and irritants in the air. I think a good gauge is whether the parents have eczema or sensitive skin. Personally, apart from the skin on my face, I have quite resilient skin, but the Hubs isn't so lucky. So I am guessing baby might turn up either way. I guess if given a choice, we are definitely swaying towards avoiding synthetics and cottons which have been sprayed with herbicides or pesticides for baby. Cos bringing him in and out of the PD might cost more pain to our pockets and heart overall.

We also tried out the cupboard hanger. Frankly, it leans towards the fragile side. Having said that, I have no qualms putting it into baby's wardobe. I don't think it lasts as long as plastic for sure, but we will use it till it hangs on its last breathe (no pun intended)

This is my second set of milestone cards (RM18.90) and I think I like it much more than my first. You will definitely see quite a bit of them in my photos. I think I am just a sucker for simple, uniformed designs. Compared to its other products, this is one of the easiest on the pocket. Take note that it is made of cardboard and doesn't have the waxy texture over it.

Thus far, I have been accumulating quite a bit of swaddles and each one gets better. This is my fanciest swaddle thus far. At RM55, it is actually quite affordable. Tinys.Co doesn't have the largest range of designs but it have quite a bit that will make you gush. This piece is made of 70% bamboo fabric and 30% GOTS certified organic cotton. It is also anti-static and hypoallgergenic.

Like my other swaddles, this is alos 120cm by 120cm and is really soft. <3 After taking a look at Tinys.Co's collection, I don't find organic products particularly steep in their pricing. Apart from the sleepsuit, the other products doesn't pinch the pocket much given the quality. I think perhaps the key is really knowing where to get your organic baby products and I am so glad that I shared this site with you Mummies out there, so at least now, you have a choice, without being too worried about $$$. By the way, additional 25% off if you quote "CHAA25"

Little BB Love: Clothes for Boys

One of my biggest grouses and I ain't hiding it is the lack of nice clothes for boys. I mean having a baby boy is great and all but the selection is definitely much less. Personally, I want to dress my boy preppy or cute. But most stores hold too much plain and simple boys wear in their collection *grumbles*

So, I was very pleased to come across Little BB Love because it makes me feel that the boys wardrobe looks way better than the girls. If you are into bolder and colourful prints, you will be thrilled with their selection. Honestly, I love most of the designs, my favourite being A Whaley Good Time Overalls Set which he might be too young for at the moment.

We tried out a mixture of 0-3 months and 3-6 months. Overall, the cutting for 0-3 months isn't that small which is quite reassuring cos looking at the size of my tummy, I am suspecting baby is huge. From left to right, top to bottom:
  • Building the World - S$19: I think this is a safe piece that everybody likes.
  • Bear Hugs (without Footies) - S$18: This print is truly the cutest. You just need to have it in the collection.
  • Cool in Stripes - S$17: The hubs doesn't like this piece at all and called this the jail suit. But I like this piece...in fact I have a similar design...twinning time. What does the Hubs know! Pfffft.
  • Brave Adventurer - S$17: I have a bit of mixed feeling about this print. It is quite bold and eye-catching but it looks fierece too. But I am sure dog lovers would this!
  • Chugging Tractors: Sorry, I thnk it is out of stock already. It is my least favourite in the collection cos of the dark colours. But it is the best to hide puke stains...Hehe (Note: Little BB Love remove items once the stock is no longer available so you need to keep a keen eye and act fast to get your desired piece!)
  • London Guards - S$17: The London series is probably one of my favorites.  If you have little girls, you should also check out the ladies version!

Little BB Love is not that painful on the pockets. With S$100, you can about 5-6 pieces if you throw in a discount code. Generally, Little BB Love has quite a good cutting variety. Whether it is long sleeve or short sleeve, footsies without footsies, collars without collars or zip/ buttons, they have it all. For newborns, I personally prefer the footsies options cos you can save money on the booties.

For the button-on(s), there are always extra buttons at the head area so even if baby has a big head, there is no fear! In terms of material quality, I think it is considerably decent. Not the softest I have felt in the market, but defintely acceptable. For the baby suits, they all come with a double zipper mechanism to help nappy-changing at night!

Here's more photos on their buttons and buckles for those who are keen. The packaging of the clothes also look really good and comes in a very nicely wrapped bag if you want to get some clothes as a present for the little ones around you. Use my referral code "FF-LBBL", you can get $5 off your first purchase if it is more than $50. Note, this is until 31 Dec only!

If you are a fan of their style, sign up to become a member here and you can get 50 Bonus BB Stars on baby's birthday! It is actually not that difficult to accumulate 100 BB Stars to get a $10 voucher. This also means your child will at least get discounted clothes yearly! Sounds like a pretty awesome deal if my Mummy brain did her maths right! ^_^

Petit Carol: Baby's Tutu Journey

For those of you who are non-locals, tutu means pacifier. To be honest, I don't have a specific stance yet on the use of the pacifier. Some mums (including mine) believe that the long-term use of pacifiers will cause crooked baby teeth. Despite her believes, my brother and I actually grew up using pacifiers, just that my brother is not that huge of a fan and would spit it out at any opportunity. :P

I did some reading up on my own. I have to admit that babies look pretty cute sucking on their pacifiers. And parents give children pacifiers because the sucking action helps to sooth the babies and may also allow them to sleep better at night. For some fussy babies, pacifiers may act as a good distraction.

In the end, I still thought it would be better to have some tutu at hand because I just don't think I can function with a crying baby. Some of the criteria that I looked for includes: (i) reputable brand, (ii) stylish design, (iii) preferably it comes with a strap (just in case baby takes after his uncle who likes throwing away his pacifiers). I am also definitely not ready to play catch with the baby.

I came across Petit CarolPetit Carol recently cross borders from Indonesia, so it may not be very familiar to mothers. What impressed me was the variety of colour, I am quite a sucker for colours. Petit Carol is the authorised dealer for the BIBS pacifiers, which hails from Denmark. The pacifiers are manufactured in Denmark and has passed both the Australian and European safety standards. The teats itself are made from natural latex

The pacifiers come in 2 sizes. Size 1 (in oak) is for 0-6 months. If you notice closely, the teat is shorter and rounded outwards to imitate the mother's nipples. This is also to help the child avoid nipple confusion. Size 2 (in mint) is for todders (6-18 months). The teat is a little more stretched in comparison. Ultimately, it still depends on the baby which type of pacifier it prefers.

Petit Carol also sells braided pacificer clips. The colour collection is not as varied as the pacifiers. So one advise for stylish mama, trendy pacifier colours such as mint are so hard to match. Haha. It really depends but I prefer a themed colour for my baby so go for woody colours if you want to play it safe. The clip is pretty secure and not too difficult to maneuver. I am all about freedom of thought so I will be doing a fun experiment on baby to let him pick his desired pacifier. Can't wait for him to be out and I am very curious what he will pick for himself. Hehe.

Updates: Quote "PC_CY" at Petit Carol and you will enjoy a 10% discount for pacifier clips and bibs pacifier products. Till 31 Oct 2020!

Anak & I stole my heart

One of the most enjoyable things so far about pregnancy could really be shopping. Particularly, I really relish in the joy of finding cute clothes and toys for our little one. And I feel that the happiness is always doubled when I share the great deal with other mothers and my family. The other day I received a package from Anak & I and it immediately made me smile!

I have been talking about how small baby clothes are. Although Anak & I's cutting is a lot bigger than the rest I have reviewed so far, the clothes still look very tiny when I hold it to compare to myself hehe. Personally, I find their designs very adorable and I am pleased that even the boys' clothes made me excitable.

If you have been following for a while, you will know how much I love my magical horses. Hehe. This piece was suggested by the owner and I am glad I took her advise. It is very soft and airy and I am very looking forward to my boy becoming a mini unicorn. Hehe. I am all ready to move out my incredulous amount of unicorn merch for his photoshoot.

Size-wise, this is 0-6 months which explains the bigger cutting. I like it better this way because I feel like at least baby can wear it for a longer time cos rumours say they grow up so fast. There is also a female version of it, but I like this boy's design better. And also, it is pretty gender neutral.

This is another 0-6 months piece and it stole many hearts even in my mother's group chat. I had a hard time choosing between white and teal but many mothers told me to pick teal because this colour is unique. There is also a pink version if you have a little girl. I generally favour pink but pineapples just don't go well with pink!

The Hubs was saying that this was a perfect piece for house warming. Instead of rolling pineappples, our little boy will be blessing the house by crawling around in this onesie. Huat ah! If it fits till CNY, I think this would look cute for the festive too!

This is a 6m to 1yo piece. I have no defence for myself but I am just a kiasu mum. LOL! I mean I have a cactus badge, obviously I would jump at twinning with my boy even when he is older. *smirks* Anak & I definitely has all grounds covered when it comes to trending prints - cactus, unicorn, ong lai, they have it all. It makes me so much less bummed that baby is a boy.

I have to admit girls' clothes have much more variety and would have definitely make my wallet bleed more. Anak & I has some of the fancy tutu, fluffy skirts that made me wanna try for a girl asap. Lol! If you have a baby girl, do check out their collections.

Just for my readers, Anak & I has provided a groupbuy chat which you can enjoy up to 70% off. Yes, our little ones can all get nice clothes.

Cute Bottles: He or She

There are a few brands that have quite classy designs and I think one of the understated brand is He or SheHe or She is quite popular in Malaysia but is still not very popular in Singapore yet because it is not in the major retail stores. He or She has 3 bottle designs of either ash pink for the girls or bluish-grey for the boys. In my opinion, both colours look aesthetically pleasing and I would even use the ash pink bottles for my little boy! :D

Typically, bacteria will breed in moist and warm environments. Hence, it always recommended for Mums (wonder why not Dads) to keep the bottles sanitised. Just to share a little more, He or She uses antibacterial polymer technology which can help to prevent the spread of bacteria. Personally, I feel regardless the type of material, the bottle should still be sanitised (either via UV or steam) before use because bacteria cannot be seen by the naked eye.

This is a newborn bottle which reminds me of rocket hehe. In the series, this is the only bottle which is yellow. He or She's newborn bottle are generally wider and give a better grip to the holder. This could be helpful if your confinement lady is older or the elderly at home is helping with feeding. Comparitively, this bottle has the least parts which makes it easier to clean. I like that the bottles comes with a nice solid cap, which makes it a good going-out bottle.

If you observe the teat, it tries to imitate a mother's nipple so as to prevent nipple confusion during breastfeeding. The design also supposedly helps to reduce spit-out and intake of gas, therefore reducing colic. When baby is out, this will be one of the first few bottles we will try out with him. Hopefully, he takes well to the bottle.

This is also another newborn bottle. For all the designs, you can change the size of the teats to modify the flow to better suit the baby as it develops. For me, we will be using this as a transition bottle once baby looks ready to wrestle control and wants to hold the bottle himself. Similarly, the Belly Belly is also a wide design bottle and consists little parts which means easy cleaning.

Design-wise, I find it rather nostalgic. My brother and I used to have a baby bottle that resembles this. If you are on a budget, I think you can do a 2-choose-1 between this model and the "Ultra Wide".

This design reminded me of a dolphin, super cute! This is suitable for baby from 6 months onwards. Oh my god, it contains so many more parts and I totally regretted deconstructing it for this review lol. The teats are shaped differently from the newborn bottles as it is supposed to protect their newly budding tooth/ teeth.

One of the additional parts is the dual-vent and anti-colic valves. This can also be transferred and be used on the "Belly Belly". If baby takes well to the He or She, he is likely to use this from 6 to 9 months whenever he is ready to grow up, hehe.

This is the only plastic teether that is produced by He or She. The design helps to promote grip by baby and can the strap can be adjusted to better fit his hand. I like that it will be stuck on his hand and is less likely to fall off. The product should also help to ease tooth pain the soft material will help to protect his gums.

Colour-wise, I am more into fancy, cutesy design so this doesn't quite appeal to me. But of course, the adorableness of a product has absolutely no correlation to its effectiveness. I think I might still be getting a few more teether for baby so that he has some choices and maybe simply cos Mummy just like cute stuff (please feel free to roll eyes at me.)

A Covid Gender Reveal

I have to admit planning a gender reveal during the Covid lock-down was extremely difficult. There were many vendors who were reluctant to take up orders (for the fear of not being able to fulfil them) and there were some who took the opportunity to charge exorbitant prices. Initially, I was extemely fixated on either getting a gender reveal cake or a gender reveal balloon.

I quickly realised that this project called for a lot of creativity and I had to be flexible. As parents-gonna-be, we have sort of grudgingly agreed that present for baby is also present for Daddy/ Mummy.  So, I moved along this line and got Hubby a diaper cake. Hahaha!

The Diaper Cake came from Diaper Cakes Singapore. Most people have this impression that diaper cakes are not very cheap and consists of products that are not of very high quality. Diaper Cakes Singapore has different tier levels available and have a mini diaper cake option (from S$54). As this is for hubby's gender reveal, I am not too worrried that it will look too unpresentable/ cheap.

However, if this was a gift for a friend/colleague's little one, I would be fretting about a lot more because I had to ensure that the receiver would be happy with the good intentions. Although, what caught my eye was initialy the price-point, I have to admit that the mini diaper cake looked very adorable and presentable. It wasn't as mini as its name and I definitely won't feel paiseh to give as a baby shower gift <3

Before the reveal, hubby was like hinting "there was no need for any unnecessary fanfare." when I confided in him that I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the gender reveal. Was quite glad eventually I had both balloons and cakes :D The baby boy balloon is also from Diaper Cakes Singapore. You just have to burst a magic pack and the balloon will start to inflate. Update: The balloon remains inflated after a week!

In a mini diaper cake, you will receive a baby onsie, a pair of socks, a plushie and around 7 huggies diapers. Do remember to pluck out the holding pins. I was super tempted to reconstruct everything back cos it was so pretty but it was way harder than I thought. The plushie was surprisingly premium and the size was very good for a newborn photoshoot. The baby's apparel is of decent quality but it definitely cannot compare to the boutique, more expensive brands. Size-wise, it can definitely fit even a fat baby for a while with its wide head cutting. (Yes, I just phewed)

Lately, I am starting to have a feeling of "shit is starting to get real". Haha, I was looking at the diapers and I realise "Dang, I actually don't have a clue how to put this on a baby". Guess, I got my next research post coming out...haha. Just in case, you guys are wondering how we did the gender reveal. Check out my video above!

Talking about value for money, you can re-use this surprise many times. So you can play it on the hubs, your own fam, in-laws and even your friends. Because this is kinda of novel, you have to be prepared for some "operational difficulties". Watch my Dad's happy face below!

If you have any babies arriving in your family, you can enjoy 10% off your purchase at Diaper Cakes Singapore if you quote "CHAA2020" as long as your purchase is above $50. This is not applicable for any items on sale. Valid until 31 Dec 2020, guess only lucky babies will get it :D

Nursing Bra: Yay or Nay

Generally, the nursing bra is used when you are breastfeeding the baby so that you can easily access your boobs during the process. Call me kiasu, but I actually got mine way ahead and I am doubling them up as maternity bras. And I am happy to update this might be one of the best decisions I have made. :D

Firstly, maternity bras are so comfortable. For me, the twins have grown and my old bras just can't do their job anymore. For now, I am going a cup bigger while maintaining the ribs circumference. I think my ribs size might have expanded a bit but I sort of want to restrict its expansion, haha. You might want to go a size bigger if you prefer something less snug. Secondly, I love that it provides really good support for my bigger boobs (which now I realise bigger isn't exactly better). Lastly, they have really nice designs (not granny-like at all).

I have to be honest, my body shape is really changing quite a bit. In fact, I would think that there is not even much shape to speak of. With Covid and all, I feel like I am just lounging around at home and letting loose in a bad way. My hair is messy, I dress like crap and my body is lumpy. The silver lining, my skin is still great though (lol).

But pregnancy really shouldn't be this way. That's why I always feel excited...and a boost of confidence when I find nice, flattering maternity/ nursing outfits/ gears. So I thought I will share with you guys - Cake Maternity. I gotten some nursing bras and a gorgeous maternity dress, but today I will focus on the nursing bras.

This is one of the prettiest nursing bras I have seen in the market. So far, all the bras I am using is the drop-cup (i.e. there is a clasp to unhook each side which I find it very convenient). On the inner side of the bra, there is even polka-dots designs. 5 stars for the crazy amount of details. For special occassions, this is definitely my top choice although nobody really sees it. Haha,  I wore it when I visited my gynae not like she can tell. :P

I didn't use to think like this. But now, I think there are some things that nobody sees and nobody else really bothers. But you know it matters and that it feels good when you treat yourself right or when you give yourself a well-deserved pampering treat. And one of these thrills is definitely the nursing bras.

Although I am not really working out during this period, I am planning to resume my runs to keep my body fit again once I concieve. So, I have been looking out for nursing bras that allows an active lifestyle. Personally, I love the sporty design of this bra (check out the hole in the back) and the Cake emblems at the bottom (most of day-to-day underwears usually have such designs as well) so this is a much welcomed familar design.

Fabric-wise, Cake Maternity generally is a little thinner at the front so you can actually spot the nipple bump. This was quite worrying at first. However, when you put on your outer clothes, it won't be visible at all. My thoughts is that most people (at least me) don't take photos in underwear so I am not really too bothered by this now.

For Mummies who are on a tighter budget, you might want to consider 9 Months Maternity. In terms of the fabric, there is more sponge at the front. The variety is a bit more limited and the bras are all of the drop-cup design. But if you want something simple, you would be able to find what you need here. Rest assured these bras are very comfortable. If you want to find out more about my review on their other products, read here!

I know some Mums actually choose to purchase from taobao etc. for cheap nursing bras cos they deemed these as one-time uses. Honestly, I feel that they double up pretty well as a staple and if you buy them during the sales period you can get them around the same price as your day-to-day bra. So, I think it is still alright to invest on "inner beauty". Plus for my readers only, quote "ChaaYen" and you can get 15% off for the regular items at 9 Months Maternity!

Oeteo: Baby's First Set of Clothes

Baby finally got its first set of clothes from Oeteo (pronounced as Ee-tay-o). If you surf the web long enough, you will notice that Oeteo is quite a popular brand among mothers and I think it is really because of the vibrant, rather gender netural designs. Oeteo is having an online sale now and a lot of its old collections (even the welcome set) are going at a good price.

Baby's first set is also a welcome set - Starry Gaze Welcome Set ($65.90) and Starry Gaze Easysuit Sleep Bag ($28.90). Personally, I find a set like this very reassuring because it has everything the baby needs for its first wear out, without having to worry if anything had been missed. If you open the welcome box, you will find a newborn baby romper, removable bib, beanie, mittens, booties and blanket.

The welcome set is packed in a reusable felt box that can be used to stored baby's stuff, nice! When I opened the set, I can't help but gush on how adorable and tiny they were. The beanie in particular stood out to me. My Mum was telling me how not all babies like wearing things on their head, my brother would always pull it off even as a newborn. And a naughty thought crossed my mind, I will keep putting it on baby if it pulls it off just to disturb it...Muhaha.

The sleepbag seems slightly bigger and I might use it as a transition swaddle. I noticed that for Oeteo the design of the romper is a bit different as it comes with a rubberised bottom that would make dressing the baby fast (see video for more info). My fav. design hack was the removable bib. Instead of velcro, it uses a patch that can easily stick on and off without causing any thread runs. I also really like Baby's blanket cos it would make the framing of its future pictures so much easier.

As mentioned earlier, Oeteo is having a huge online sale now. A few of the designs really caught my eye and I was one step away from paying for my cart. The only problem was my cult members told me that Oeteo's design were on the "smaller side" and the doc. just told me my baby was a little bigger than its peer. My friends were also telling me please don't go all crazy, at least wait till you know your size of your baby. T.T

If you are a parent already or is planning to get a gift for a friend, I would really encourage you to take a look at the sales, cos the prices are really good for such fancy pieces. If you are like me, Oeteo has kindly extended a 15% discount off for regular priced items. Just key in "Forfunk15" during check out! The coupon expires on 31 Dec 2020 and is not applicable in conjunction with other coupons, sale items or Little Sprout Box. I will probably be using it when baby arrives so that I can grab some X'mas and CNY clothes from the newer collection for it.

P.S.: The girl's collection at Oeteo is so darn cute!

Nursing Dresses from Malaysia: 9 Months Maternity

Call me blur, but initially I thought there was only maternity dresses. I didn't exactly know that there were nursing dresses in the market (cos in my Mum's time, breast-feeding wasn't the popular option). So when I first knew about nursing dresses, through snooping around websites of cos, I had this cost-saving thought "Could we just have nursing dresses that also double up as maternity dresses?"

I quickly realised the answer was probably no after checking the designs of my nursing dresses. It really depends on the cutting, but most of the time, the priority isn't giving you extra tummy space but the ease of accessing the boobs. By now, I have enough energy to be excited about new clothes again, so here's me flaunting my new shape to the fam!

I tried out 2 different type of openings for my nursing dress, this was the wrap version. My Mum is not too big a fan of this cutting cos wardrobe malfunction are more likely to happen if you fail to wrap your top tightly after "milking".  I personally find it quite easy to access both boobs and you can easily adjust the tightness. A boob flash in my opinion is quite an ungrounded fear.

This dress has a very vacation vibe which is exactly what I need during this lock-down. My cabin fever has been driving me nuts. By right, I should be on my babymoon so I decided to style this as though I was on a vacation. The material is very breezy and if you are looking for a piece you can double up as a maternity dress, this is a good choice!

The second piece I got was a little bit more corporate like. I wanted a red festive looking piece because you never know when the occassion calls for it. This used a zip opening, which is more secure than the wrap version. But I do find this cutting a little harder to access the other side of the boob. Definitely, this is not a piece for the third trimester. Even though the material is slightly stretchy, it is not meant to accomodate an enlarged tummy. The material is a lot thicker and warmer but I guess if you will be in an air-con room most of the time, it is fine.

So if you are observant about the currency, you will noticed these pieces are in Ringgit. They are from a Malaysian brand - 9 Months Maternity. They are also on Zalora, but the prices are a lot more attractive if you go direct and you also have a better selection of their pieces (which includes nursing bras, maternity dresses etc.). The only down side is that you will have to get your sizing right as returns might be a little more troublesome, but to be fair, their measurements are quite accurate so you can definitely go direct. To make the deal sweeter for you, quote "ChaaYen" and you can get 15% off for the regular items!

Hiding the Bump with Bohn Fabulous

One of the "sad moments" about motherhood is potentially losing your figure. In forums, you will see encouraging messages such as "don't compare your bump". It is not even really being competitive or what, but I tend to compare everything with my "cult" secretly. I am upset when my bump is not defined enough, I feel hurt when my tummy is rounder than others. Nothing is ever right.

Trimester 2 is the stage where it starts to become obvious that the body become shapy. I have to admit I am quite bummed that I seem to have lost a bit of muscle mass and is looking rounder. As of now, I can still fit in loose clothings but it is always good to prepare ahead. If you are intending to support local, check out Bohn Fabulous! Each dress comes with a nice, black box. Lux-feel max!

Generally, the pieces from Bohn Fabulous are a bit flashier. This piece doesn't come with any belt. But I decided to pair it with a silky pink latin cloth (cos my buckle belts don't fit anymore) and I love this choice. It makes me look a bit like a sparkly christmas present and it is true I do have a gift hidden in my tummy! My Mum's advise is never to have sleeves cos you will feel hot, but hmm my arms are so flabby now though!

Personally, I love how this piece is versatile enough to be worn even after pregnancy (feels more value more money.) If you need a fancy piece at hand (for weddings, functions etc.) and don't want a long train lest you trip away, this makes a perfect choice. Sadly, Covid has delayed all the weddings. Really hope the circuit breaker will end soon cos I really want to flaunt this. Guess another option is a self-taken maternity shoot...hmmm :P

This piece looks absolutely gorgeous in photos, but it is not the most practical. I found the design quite interesting at first. But after donning it on, I find the cape a little too long for my liking. (Mum: What if the MRT kiap your cape and you get stuck!) If it was arm's length, this piece would be quite dope. So, Mum and I tried modifying it by folding it up and making it into like a little shawl, with a broach infront. I think I prefer it better that way. Lesson learnt: Don't be too adventurous when it comes to maternity wear!

Good news about this piece is that it has pockets, which I love cos I can hide stuff in them hehe. I used to be a S/M size. So I got size M for both. From what I have read, pregnant women's tummy will grow quite exponentially in Trimester 3. The chest circumference will also grow slightly, so you might need a slightly bigger size. For me, since I am in the middle of 2 sizes, so I just went for the bigger size. :P

Ending off this post with a cute photo....haha Supermum! Another wonderful piece for a themed shoot. Haha, have to admit that this is my favourite photo in the series. We might be modifying this piece sightly, so stay tuned. We will reveal it when it is done!

For my readers, Bohn Fabulous has kindly provided a discount code "forfunk25" for a 25% discount on top of all current promotion. <3

Vanilla Dreams: My Little Pony

I am sure some of you know by now, I am a huge My Little Pony fan. :D
I would think I am more of a boyish little girl but I think what makes me super adore My Little Pony is because it is positive and focuses a lot on good moral values. Plus it is really dreamy and cute, a stark contrast to the gloom reality.
Get Well Soon
So, I sprained my ankle last weekend if you follow me on my Instagram. It was a case of pure suay-ness, but now I am feeling more positive (resting on odd intervals). I can just fall alseep at odd timing 11am/ 3pm. Maybe I am just very exhausted so this is a very good "wake-up" call. Irony.
Lately, I have been on a streak of bad luck. Not just one, but it is like waves of them. I won't say that each is worse than the last. But it is just morale breaking when all of them come at a rather similar interval. Even nature bullied me, sending lots of insects to venture and explore my injured foot :(
AppleJack
Before all the bad things happened, a friend of mine galloped in my life. I posted its cutie mark on Instagram. He is AJ - AppleJack. (I know it is a "she" but cos it shares the same initial as my BF so it represents more of a he in my life.) I am not usually a soft-toy person. But during low points in life, a comfy softie like him is very comforting. You can bury your tears in him and feel less alone in the world.
More about AJ, among the ponies, AJ is the the most hardworking and resilient (a bit like my BF). There is so much to learn from him (both AJ and BF haha). Despite his cute appearance (his big emerald eyes and long blonde mane warms my heart) and sexy little butt, inside lies a hardy personality. I wish it could really gallop and neigh a little. That would make me squeal in delight.
Rainbow Dash
So, I got a mini Rainbow Dash keychain/ bag charm on top of my Rainbow Dash plushie. Hehe. You may not know but my character is most like Rainbow Dash/ Pinky Pie among the ponies. But my favorite is Rainbow Dash because of his rainbow mane. She has a slightly deeper personality than Pinky Dash, but I am both rolled up in one. (I happened to be born in the year of Horse too :P)
Rainbow Dash
Here's a closer look at my customised key chain. It is in navy blue theme, with my name on it. You can pick your own pony and your own charms. But I chose to let the owner pick the charms for me cos I am actually not very good at matching nice stuff (apart from clothes and accessories :P)
I really love the fact that it is multi-functional. I can even use it as a key chain if I want to. But my Mum thinks it is too chio to be a key chain so I will be using it as a bag charm instead. My favourite part is the duo "kiaps" (clips). You know how some owners only give the round coil which is very painful to use and spoils easily. I prefer the kiap so happy the charm comes with it. Now, it is so easier to use it inter-changeably.
Leather Envelope
This is how I am using it now. Pretty, isn't it? It makes every thing so much cherry. For those who are concerned, I am feeling a lot better now :) Because, nice things happen in my life too. There are people whom I don't know dropping me nice notes and that's very sweet and heart-warming. I humbly thank you all and mankind for its generosity in encouragement and kindness.
