Wonderland: Another exhibition at Artscience Museum

There has been quite a hype on this exhibition, Wonderland at ArtScience Museum already. In case you haven't been there yet, I thought it might be useful to let you guys know that this is not an Alice-in-Wonderland sort of exhibition. Be prepared to tumble down the rabbit hole and go through the film-making process of Wonderland.

The whole exhibition is very interactive, however it may not be entirely suitable for the your kids. I just don't think they are at the age where they can appreciate the props, sketches and background tidbits of Alice. And to be frank, not all the adults could fully appreciate it too...(heard a guy behind muttering this is truly a riddle and he has no clue what is going on...lol)

I think it is really about your expectations, because to be fair, I too expected a Disney experience and less so on the evolutions of Alice. But this exhibition did spark my interest in Lewis Caroll. I even bought an original book *giggles*. I googled quite a bit on Alice's quotes and am just quite fascinated how much truth these seemingly frivolous quotes hold. Here's a few of my favourite:

'I don't much care where -' said Alice.
'Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.

I won the poll by the way, just saying. Personally, I don't really find this exhibition worthy of the typical insta-hype. Floating Utopias: One of a kind exhibition

My family was feeling quite refined weekend and so we popped by the ArtScience Museum to check out one of the exhibition - Floating Utopias. This is quite a specialised exhibition, depicting inflatable object and its history. I guess compared to the other exhibition, this is not the most interactive.

But you take away quite a bit new info (because who really reads up about hot-air balloons etc. in their free time). And personally, I thought the pieces which was displayed there was quite intriguing. It did feel like some creative parts of my brain was awakened. :D

If you are just there to take instagram photos, you will be pleased to know that there are a few landmark giant floats and models. Wheee~~~But if you are really an artsy fartsy, then do check out some of the interesting pictures and balloon designs. I absolutely love those! In fact those triggered quite a lot of imagination in me.

My personal favourite (and I think would be a favourite for many) is the moon. There were loungers around it and you could just lay down and enjoy the view. You just can't help but feel in awe by the beauty and realism. Yup, silly as it sound, but people around me were all raising their hands to touch the moon...the closest we would ever be...

If you wanna float away with me, the exhibition is on from 25 May 2019 to 29 Sep 2019. And psss...just to share a deal, go for other exhibitions as well and you can get a better deal :) Go with your family and viola, you pay less. The other 2 exhibitions are Wonderland and Futureworld: Where Art Meets Science, which is a lot more interactive and fun for kids. 

And oh yea, while you are there, check out the shop. Cos they sell reasonably-priced souvenirs that is so darn unique. Yup, if you are a tourist (or not), grab your decorative there. Yes, I know, the posts in this photos looks awesome! Told ya, the arty part of my mind was unleashed!

Running Hero: Beyond Limits

Remember one month ago, I spoke about my 8Km race. My medals are finally here so I thought it is about high time I pen my post on my experience. So I was a Running Hero for 42 Race in one of my previous posts. You can read more about them here.

To set your image of me right, I am quite a running novice. I only became more active this year. I became a hero because I wanted to challenge myself. But one thing I did so damn wrong was I started on a marathon - Road & Trail 2017 that was made for the experienced runners and I lack the practice. 

I am not going to lie, the convention was particularly difficult for me. Firstly, I was very self-conscious. I keep having this nagging feeling that I was being judged (even if no one was even judging me.) I couldn't do most of the exercises and there were many times I wondered...so what am I doing here...

This was dragged over 2 days so it gave me time...to actually contemplate to give up. When I was considering the options I had, there were more reasons for me to not turned up. Imagine 3 hours of pure humiliation/pain/sweat etc. versus 3 hours of quality time spent with the BF for pre-V-Day celebration. In fact, I was dreading it so much I was 15 minutes late for the race. 

The first 2 rounds were definitely the hardest. There were so much negative inner voices and my ego took huge blows every time the road ICs indicated a round number greater than mine and I had to correct them. :( I felt a lot like a loser and did plotted to drop out somewhere.

But...on my 3rd lap, a kind mid-tier runner paced me and I felt a lot better when he told me "You don't have to be fastest cos there will be always be someone faster. The point is to complete the race." And so complete the race I did, and I even bring the favour forward, I paced someone slower than me because I knew how it felt when you know you may be last...alone. 

I completed the race despite my friends' disbelief and the medic trying to stop me at the first round. This is one of my proudest achievement in my life even though the timing is mediocre and one of my most humbling learning experience. I always don't always give 2 hoots about what most people think. But now I realise that is because I know I am good at it and has a relative good chance of making people eat their words back.

The truth is if you don't give up and keep pushing yourself forward, you will go beyond the limits you set yourself (even for things you suck at). I hope me sharing my experience with you will let you know the inertia to keeping fit you have is not exclusive to you, yourself. You may have to build yourself around more supportive people and try to persist. Remember, you are not alone. Good luck!

My Little Pony Run: The Day of The Run

Call me a fan now! Yea, not am I now a fan of cute/awesome/cool races with a bunch of crowd, I am also now a Bronie!!! Officially. After the run, I pretty much desired for the merchandises with My Little Ponies prints. *Throws any last sign of professionalism out of the window* And I know my names now. *Blushes with fairy dust*

Yea, I took part in the competitive 6KM Bestie run with my Bestie of cos. The day started really early like me crawling up at 6AM. God knows how I did it, considering I was nursing a cold. But with sheer will power, I want my plushie, I did it. Took the wrong bus though (2 stops in the opposite direction before my sickly brain figured things out) Swiftly hopped off the bus and jay run to the bus stop on the other side like it was a pre-run exercise. (I am truly and surely growing more cool by the day)

Since I was so enthusiastic about the race, I even arrived early. But B was so so late and so to past time, I tattooed my face gloriously. Wanted to tell the world I like Rainbow Dash cos I love rainbows! And admired my outfit which was unintentionally matching :) I realised I actually do love tiffany green. This colour is actually so awesome despite being so difficult to match. 

As I was waiting for B, I met people who ooh and aww over the cuteness of my Tee (and me probably) as I munched on my breakfast by Bread Talk (Extra 1 bucks for the Soya which tasted so dang heavenly. Yum so free shout out to them.) A group of guys who obviously has no taste for cute things sighed at me exasperatedly "Not another one!" Well, the race is obviously kinda of gender specific. There were A LOT more females than males!

It was really awkward embracing the Bronie in me. But at Sentosa Island, I knew I was at home as I was gushing over the mascots and surrounded by people who are way more cray than me. There were fanatics in Pom Pom skirts, rainbow socks, sleeves. Anything pastel, rainbow, there were just fans that went to show their love. An absolute colourful festival if you ask me.

B and I did pretty awesome in our race. I slowed the team down as usual. But I did abnormally well despite running with my bag of tissues. I actually jogged for 4/6KM!!! And within an hour!!! Somebody clap for me please!

It is really a race about love and friendship. Parents with their kids and groups of friends. B and I spent 4KM humming and huffing. Pretty obvious who is which. And the 2Km when we were leisurely walking chatting and catching up. This time, the route was very, very friendly. No humps and bumps. Water points were decently and strategically placed.

If there was any thing that I was disappointed with, it seemed that I missed the bubbles and sparkles as promised. The whole route for me was pretty dull except for the coloured balloons. I actually ran with my phone and ended up not taking much photos. Bummed.

But...the fringe activities made up for everything!!! It was the best ever. I swear. Check out my rainbow nails. And B did a manicure too. Unbelievable. Thanks to the staggered timing, not all the time, the queues were unbearably long. I wanted to try the glitter tattoos too, but the sun got in my eye :P

Yea, it was kinda of embarrassing at first, squeezing with the young kids and their parents. But, I was sick...literally and also sick of being judged. Why should one fan be deprived from another. Damn, I am getting my pastel nails and enjoying all the free fringe activities. Awesome time I had!!! Would have really stayed longer if I hadn't run out of tissues.

Yea, and this is what we went there for. The Ponies Plushies. So many people snapping shots with them despite the sweat. It was kinda painful for me snapping my ponies as B and I were raining sweat and me arranging them on the green man-made green (Do you know everything looks good on those manicured grass backdrop!!) Planning to save them for my future kids. Guess which one is mine :P

Yup and we got our medals too. This time round, I am not taking them out to hang them proudly on my neck. Cos the last time, I had to wash my medal cos I was so freaked out having to display sweaty stinky medals. So nope, this time round, it stays in their plastic. Still very pretty in photos what!!!

Last picture of the ponies, as my BF call them...you mean you are going for the "Fat Ponies" Run. Pretty sure he is the true artist behind this drawing. I am hoping for a next My Little Pony Run. This deserve a round 2!!! 

Lazy Sunday: Korean Craze

Not all museums are educational. Presenting one of the most fun and interactive museums in Singapore - Alive Museum. If you are like me, your happiness depends on the number of photos taken, you would love such places. You don't have to keep your hands to yourself and are free to touch all the exhibits.

Previously, I wrote an article on the survival tricks at Trick Eye Musuem. The tricks apply here too! So this time round, I decided to put the 2 museums on a comparison test!

1. Price

In terms of ticket price, both cost S$25 for adults. Currently, Alive Museum is offering kids come free promotion. Alive Museum can be said to be more family friendly. If you are considering to visit both, you might be quite disappointed to know that both have "clashing" exhibitions 

a. Little Mermaid - Guess a fishy beauty is hard to resist
b. Explosion though a canon - Everyone loves a good blast!
c. Whirlpool vortex - Sinking into good fun. Hahaha
d. Angel Wings - Who says no to heaven!

I only caught sight of 3. There could be more though. But generally, the concept of the museums are the same. So, if you only have time/ money for one, just pick the museum is more suitable for you.

2. Lighting

In this aspect, Trick Eye Museum wins hands-down. It could be the spot-light or the paint quality. Hate to be blunt, but the photos in Alive Museum doesn't look as vibrant or pretty than those taken in Trick Eye Museum. Both museums have their classic pieces, and boy they don't disappoint! :)

3. Location

Both museums are located pretty conveniently. Trick Eye Museum is at Sentosa is pretty accessible for tourists. However, there is an additional cost to enter the museum. Alive Museum is situated at Suntec, where there is great food and shopping! Yipee! Personally, I prefer Alive Museum's location cos there are more local stuff to do after the visit. :) 

Do Visit Kimchi Restaurant. We had our lunch there and Oh My, it is super value for money. We ate till our tummy was bursting. Less than 30 bucks for 2 with the sides and dessert! Plus their owner is yummy! LOL!

4. Quantity

If you are someone who is into quantity over quality, you would definitely want to visit Alive Museum because they have more exhibitions for sure! Because of the sheer number, all the exhibitions are pretty cramp though. Personally, I felt they were pretty disorganised. Each themed exhibitions are segmented via hidden doors. Not much of a surprise person :(

5. Revisitation

Visited the museums before, you will be glad to know that Alive Museum has undergone some revamped. The classics are the still there. But there is around 30% new themes which you can explore! Woohoo! One of my favourite new exhibition were the "Love" So many opportunities for couple grope shots LOL! Actually to think of it, it is an excellent place for pre-wedding shots <3

6. Imitation

If you are dangerously uncreative and need help with the pictures at the side to do the poses. Trick Eye Museum would be more suitable for you, young Padawan! BF is definitely better at creating his own shots instead of being a follower! Generally, the moves at Alive is much tougher with so much jump shots and odd bends, lotsa blurred photos. Queen of stretches...Not

Just to end off with a fan service. Saw Ji Chang Wook there! OMG Fan girl Haha. Hot guys are all irresistible.

Going Atas: Starbucks and LV

So excited for today because we are almost having a whole day date!!! Was planning to separate the events but it seems we are more on heavy-content post lately. So, don't really wanna break the good trend.

Started the morning early at one of the most gorgeous store of Starbucks. This is the 100th Store opened in Singapore and is at the Fullterton Boat House. It isn't the easiest place to find on Earth, but we weren't the latest. Would love to say I was specially there for breakfast, LOL, but it was more of the case I missed breakfast and they happened to serve the sides to go with the coffee.

Another 1st! First time attending a coffee tasting session at my coffee place, Starbucks with BF. Although, I am a Starbucks fan, I am not much a coffee lover. My favourite drinks at Starbucks don't even contain caffeine, but today I had 3 tiny cups of Long Black. (Actually is probably 1 small cup, poured some into the BF's cup when no one as looking. HAHAHA)

Fans would have probably heard about the Christmas Blend. Generally, we can't taste the difference nor even sight the subtle colour difference. (BF has even worse taste buds than me. Everything, he also say "coffee" like what...) Generally, the whole tasting session was to teach the participants to become connoisseur of coffee...Not! :P

The biggest takeaway for Coffee Nuts (New coined terms for people who love coffee but know nuts about it) is that you will learn about coffee beans and at least use proper terms to describe the taste of coffee when conversing. The most fascinating fact for me was probably how the long black taste changes when you consume the sides. I don't usually take them au naturel so I have probably been missing out the natural aroma of the coffee beans.

Won't be sharing too much here cos I am guessing the material would be re-used for most of their workshop but it is pretty value for money. We got to taste 3 tiny sides and bought home a pack of roasted bean. Plus, it is an interesting experience. Would probably want to try coffee art next time. But...still not a fan of coffee cos it stains my teeth. 

Lunch at Ramen Champion is so super yummy! I always thought I didn't have much of a thing for Ramen when the BF brought me to the most famous store at Tanjong Pagar. But the ramen we had were so delicious (You can go see the pics on my Instagram!) Cos we still had too much time at hand before setting off to our next destination, we just loitered and took photos at the top floor which had a floral themed swings, carriages etc.

The good thing about "ulu" malls are that there are no crowds so you don't need to be embarrassed about taking photos. Haha. It has come to my (our) attention that we are apparently a couple with failing memory. So now, I just immortalise all happy memories on Instagram. On a side note, I am thinking about doing posts on sub-urban posts since they have less generic, repeated shops and are a lot more interesting!

Presenting the next top model of Series 3, Louis Vuitton! Hahaha, pretty fine imitation just that I might need to lose a few pounds. The series 3 exhibition is now in Singapore! Was kinda of bummed cos I am actually more interested in their legacy and heritage. This exhibition focuses more on the craftsmanship.

And for the guys who are very bent on knowing if LV bags are sold there, your wallets are safe. There is only one limited edition SG50 trunk being sold there but it is very fancy, not the classic which most ladies love. I wouldn't say it is a boring experience for guys cos you can tell a lot of thoughts had been put into the exhibitions.

We went for the guided tour, but I don't think the guide was particularly fantastic so you might enjoy just venturing around yourself. Be prepared to get your senses delighted even though this is a free exhibition. It is haute couture after all. There is a hologram, a catwalk, a lounge(!) and also enough photo taking articles for you to be occupied.

What impressed me was their presentation. No 2 rooms are the same and their staff are very ready to provide you more information. They even flew in 2 artisans. You will definitely learn more about the brand and maybe hanker about owning something luxurious. What touched unfortunately would not be considered sold :(

One of my favourite exhibits was the accessories room. It is just a super smart way of displaying the accessories. Using white mannequins, the focus was on the accessories. I kinda like the transparent walk-in wardrobe too. Can't really decide if I would want that in my house cos everyone would see the skeletons (in my closet). That might not be a pretty sight. Haha.

If you are wondering, why are such items so expensive? Let me tell you, each items are actually handmade. I think I posted quite a difficult question, asking "Am I right to say no 2 items are the identical?" They gave me a rather brilliant answer saying "Each is made to their own perfection." An indirect answer which maintained the dignity of the brand. *Clap clap*

STGCC 2015 - Can I be a Yellow and Chubby, Bwwhaaa

After missing STGCC last year, I am back again this year. Whooops~~~ thanks to a treat from my BFF, to make it easy, I made it my bday present :P

Starting the photo-heavy post with a cute photo of the Avengers, makes you wanna gush and scream at them "Take my $$$"

As per the previous STGCC, you can find lots of well-dressed cosplayers. I even had a front-row seat during the competition! 

There were so many talented comic artists that day. I don't the beautiful photos I took cos I was using my friend's camera to take those photos as she was busily queuing up for the commissioned art. Even their doodles look like a piece of art.

I pretty much spent a good deal of my time taking lots of photos of my favourite Iron Man!!! Here Snap, There Snap, Everywhere snap snap! (Just realise O'MacDonald is a Singlish song!!!)

This year, Marvel had a booth but was not as generous as the other year I went where they were literally throwing out hourly freebies. The highlights were still as impressive as ever. The giant hulk and Ironman giant models was a Kodak Moment (Who still use such Old Skool words, OMG!) not to be missed!

Check out cute things I found! I had to drag the BFF from a good deal of the booths before she run herself dry. Not because I was a good friend trying to save her bucks, I am just too broke myself to buy her dinner. :P

I must have been spoilt rotten as the previous Marvel booth set a whole different expectations for me. I did spend a good deal of time whining about the lack of goodies to minimize the damage. Had to be tactfully chided by my friend that the year I went was NOT the norm. STGCC is a place to showcase new toys and gorgeous art!

And look I found Bumblebee <3 Had a photo with the cosplayer but my good friend has cruelly detain me from the photos.  This year, I think I seem to have less self-absorbed photos of me being absorbed by the crowd. Gawking at them more like it. Hehe!

Although we did spend a relatively shorter period there (The hourly giveaways enticed us to stay beyond our welcome.) But my legs were still sore after navigating around the Exhibition Hall. 

Also did my favourite task hunting down the BF's favourite minions. I remember reading about the unappreciated boyfriends complaining about their apparent better half on how they alway proclaim how much they love fries, but yet not tell the poor boys how much they are loved.

I would say I truly understand their "Am I not even fries in their eyes!!!" feeling cos I am not even an minion in my BF eyes. Sending him the minions images evoke blissful emoticons as responses yet spamming him selfies of myself just get a half-hearted "Orrrrrhhhh" :(

Ending my excited chatters with a set of themeless photos. Gabu Gabu was distributed at the convention. Despite the super intriguing advert, the drink was ewww. I didn't even finish it despite being really really thirsty.

Took quite a few interesting videos. Will probably upload them on Instag instead. Let it Stay Cray like its owner!!!

Her World X Ion Orchard Dining Day Out

Now I know why so many people enjoy being food bloggers, Singapore is just a place where all good food congregate. Came across this event online and thought the BF would like it since I think a good portion of his thoughts is filled with "Jia-k" more than me. *Sounds like a love rival alert*

And so being such a scheming young lady, I needed to come between him and his one true "food-hunting" love. We will go eat all the nice, yummy food at Ion all in a day!!!

Depending on the group you were arranged into, we visited Pu Tien first.

1. Fried Heng Hwa Bee Hoon with Soy Milk: The publicity manager was telling us some romantic love story behind this bee hoon. This is an absolute must-try and is available only at Ion Pu Tien. Even without some fancy PR story, this would have naturally been a top seller.
2. Stewed Water Caltrop: Tasted a bit like the Gao-luk. One of the seasonal dishes. Try it before it is gone!
3. Stir-Fried Shrimp with Sweet Corn: A typical Chinese Zi-Char vegetable but the corn is so delicious. Note they are like in bunches so they are very juicy (Squirted on the BF...Ooops)
4. Yucca Root with Crab Roe Sauce: The BEST! This is my favourite. It is also a seasonal dish. I will be so sad when it is gone :(

Overall, I really like Pu Tien. It is giving DTF a good run for its money. Do try their home-made chilli as well. A not to be missed.

Second Stop was Nara Thai. Tried it before so I wasn't that excited despite being a huge Thai food fan. And thank god, we tasted Pu Tien before Nara Thai, imagine if it is the other way round, the Chinese food would taste too blend. And this doesn't do justice to it.

1. Yum Som O - Pomelo Salad: I think it is supposed to be a refreshing dish, but it just doesn't suit my taste.
2. Phunim Phad Pong Karee - Stir-fried Soft Shell Crab with Yellow Curry: The curry was too sweet for me.
3. Hor Mak Talay - Grilled Thai Otah with mixed seafood: By default, this was my favourite dish. But the Otah is a bit too soft for my liking
4. Signature Cooler Drinks - Rose Lime Cooler and Watermelon Limeade: A lot of the people loved the Rose Lime. I just thought it tasted weird. Watermelon Limeade was my life saver in this meal. 

For me it is quite a disappointment. My conclusion is I am just not into Thai Fusion Food. I heard Nara Thai is really popular in Thailand though. Maybe my taste bud is just weird cos I love their herb blue rice but to many other people it taste "the same". My suggestion is go to West Gate's Nara Thai instead. That outlet is really good and pick the normal favourites like Phad Thai, Tom Yum etc. It will be worth the calories.

Our last stop was Wrap & Roll. I walked past it a few times before but never really tried it out. And you know what, I should have went in!!!

1. Hanoi Frilled Turmeric Fish Dill
2. Grilled Pork Steamed Rice Crepe Roll
3. Grilled Chicken with Lime Leaves
4. Lotus Shoot Salad with Prawn

This was the shop that really made their good instagram worthy. I was really full by the time we were at our 3rd stop. It was great they gave us sampling portion. I don't really take Viet food much, so I don't know how good it ranks against the rest. But one thing for sure, I am definitely going back again to try their dish. :P Plus their name is my favourite past-time. LOL Wrap yourself in the blanket and Roll around in bed. I support my own kind!

Ending off with a heart-shaped prawn. Beautiful isn't it? Next time I will do such frivolous plating if I ever cook a meal for my BF. 

The event itself was really a good one. Do join if Her World host another like this. I heard they do that quite a lot cos a good deal of the participants are serial joiners. I enjoyed myself so much I think I might become one too. Oops....

Gathering of Justice League: The Day of The Run

Much to contrary belief, I am not fit. It has been a while since I took part in a marathon cos the last 1 didn't really went too well. It took some time to get back the confidence. And not having zombies eager to rape, I mean rip me apart was helpful.

Every crucial marathon starts off with testing of gear. Especially if you have fancy gears like capes and mask, you must really make sure your superpowers are not affected. I joined as "Flash" cos Wonder Woman and Superman "Women" team ran out. My Mum said my Tee still look good though.

My BF was forced to join the Superman team so that I could get the cape. :P And trust me, at the race, I am truly sure I am not the only demanding GF. The day dawned bright and early. I think it has been a long while since I even bother to wake up to exercise so I guess I am those people that needs something elaborate before I will bother to exercise!

Don't be ashamed to wear your gears in the public transport because on your way there, you are bound to meet similar heroes. For the same noble cause, you are all to the same destination. If you are a flabby wanna-get-back-in-shape newbie like me, you will be happy to know that you have companion on this journey.

My opinion is that the roads are a bit of a squeeze with quite a number of slopes. Those up slopes totally break my spirit. But I enjoyed the view, paused a bit to take some photos (is that a break excuse, I dono) and had to be hurried by my companions. And I have to say, if I really had to break out in a sweat, I prefer not to do it alone, but in a high euphoric atmosphere.

I ran around 1.5Km at best, which was an improvement from my last race where I literally wilted in the sand dunes. I would think I am a reason why Flash didn't win as he should. He is definitely the fastest in the DC League.

I did pull down 1 supermen but this didn't stop Team Superman, which won with an average finisher nett time of 31 mins 10 secs. Guess Team Superman settled the age-old debate by proving that the Last Son of Krypton is indeed worthy of the title. Notice the difference when we reached the finishing line between the first runner and me, LOL!

Depending on the type of runner you are, the sense of achievement would really differ. For me, I am just glad I completed the race. For a good deal of the race, I am proclaiming "is that person seriously running? How can he still run, man?" That's the sort of level I am at. :)

Da Vinci: Undoubted a talent

I am so sorry, but by the time you see this post, the whole event is over. I know you are possibly hating me right now. But in my defense, I was keen but not intending to go for it cos I am a moody little skank.

But I went in the end on the last day due to some edging from my friend and because well, since it is the last day, it is free. :)

It was teeming with so many people, it was actually quite impossible to take any photos. The exhibition as a whole I would say is quite interesting and actually spark my interest in the arts. Did you know how much thought was put to conceiving "The Last Supper"? 

Da Vinci is probably known for his art work, but you would be surprised at how all-rounded he is. He is an inventor, musician, architect etc. I think he is a very observant man, a little obsessed on Tessellation. For his art, do take special notice of the motifs and you would realise how intricate they are (usually consist of repeating shapes)

These are some of the photos I managed to snap there. It is unfortunate that me being really shallow had difficulty understanding some of the Art. I just people taking photo and I did the same. -.- After that, I asked my friend who was doing the exact same thing, so what is so fascinating about this art, and she couldn't give me a satisfactory answer.

Sorry, but no photography was allowed for the Codex Atlanticus, da Vinci’s largest notebook. I thought the giant crystals of the virus was pretty fascinating. They are quite pretty right, until they infect you Lol!

A good joke never dies. Sharing this here with you guys too. Whatsapp the BF the first quote and told him to re-name himself "Experience" for the sake of a wise daughter. Walked a few more steps down the exhibition and realize dang Experience is a lady. Guess the joke is on myself. :(

The photos are not edited :) Yes, that's how good the lighting there is. In fact, I do think that the Art Science Museum is quite a family friendly place with lots of activities for the kids. Of course, I am too mature to fight with the kids this time round.

Ending off with half of our dinner at Itacho Sushi, the cheap and good place that serve excellent Japanese food. Got sick of waiting for everything to be served and so we took a photo and quickly dig in. The discounted items was unfortunately OUT OF STOCK!!! Guess my luck ran out.

After all bitching, I am back into the game and ready to take on the Monday Blues by the horns. Sometimes, when we are grouchy we just want to hide in our comfort cave. But actually sometimes all we need is a good tight reality slap from our closest friends :)

LinenMe: Fashion Show with Elle and Muji

It was after my exam so I was feeling eager to relax. And what's better than attending a fashion Show. Thank you Elle for the invites!

I am pretty sure most of you are familiar with the brand Muji, especially for their stationary. It is really something my friends dig cos they are affordable and of great quality. But for me I love their furnitures and beddings best. God knows why. But they always gave me the feeling of my idea house - comfortable yet chic.

I do know that they do sell fashion apparels. But usually, I am too busy checking the prices of the bedding and drooling over their collection of food. But after seeing some of their Linen fashion products, I did see a few pieces that caught my eye! :)

Generally, linen fashion used to be really "in" in the past. Kinda of glad it is back in fashion cos linen is soft and airy. It is really suitable for our weather and it allows us to layer which we can't really do that with many other materials. Personally, I feel linen is more of causal than professional so I don't find it particularly suited for work since it creases easily.

During the fashion workshop segment, the coordinator was telling us how easy it was to pull off such fashion. I do have some doubts HAHA! Cos I am not tall and twig legs. Sigh and I do think there is a high chance I would look like a frumpy housewife with my stubby legs. My BF was like -.- when I commented he must not have met me when the coordinator remarked "Nobody could go wrong with these!"

But I did like their cover-ups and some of their dresses, even trudge a piece home, like what! Honestly, I am not much of a plain fashion lady so perhaps this style doesn't resonate that well with me. 

And my favourite shot of the day. Love this model a lot cos she was really smiley. The rest of the models just made me felt they weren't paid enough for the show. But overall, it was still a very exciting experience cos usually my BF can't last through any fashion show. So yea to the full experience!

Haha, ending off with proof that stupid BF stole my Xiao Long Bao. Sad :(
